@KevinPosobiec They never asked for one bitcoin. They initially asked for 4 mil USD in bitcoin to be met by 1st deadline and asked for 6 mil USD in bitcoin to be met by 2nd deadline. A 2nd person emailed TMZ claiming they knew the captor, that person was the one who asked for 1 bitcoin/reward.

Authorities say the ransom note sent to news organizations regarding Savannah Guthrie’s mother included two deadlines. First deadline: 5:00 p.m. today. Second deadline: Monday. It remains unclear what the consequences will be if the deadlines are not met. Notably, no proof of life was included with the note. Proof of life was what Savannah asked for in her video last night.
