Hey guys, this is a new page for all things Openfront. Openfront is a map game, like a faster version of risk and a simple cousin of Hoi4/Diplo. The game offers Free-for-all, duos, trios, quads, and assorted team matches. Lobbies go up to 150 players! Updates are frequent.

@DVMercyRadio For now, try closing the tab and reopening the game in a new tab if it happens. It helps to reload the page after returning to the homepage from a game. If all else fails, open a support ticket on the discord with a screenshot of the error. Some errors are cloudflare related.

@Fullautosherman Map now shows if your nuke will hit an ally/break the alliance before you launch Can now invert the nuke pathing arc by pressing “U” AI enemies now shoot nukes more accurately, avoiding SAMs There are a few more changes under the “News” tab on the site.

@GrantSlatton You should check OpenFront out. It’s a web based RTS, simpler than hoi4. games usually last 10-30 minutes. Has DEFCON nuke mechanics. Engineering a solid supply chain is important, but must be balanced with maintaining warfighting capability. Varied game modes up to 150 players.

are there any games that could best be described as "Factorio but multiplayer real-time strategy" ? that is, imagine starcraft but with more emphasis on automation/supply lines or conversely, imagine factorio, but you're on a small map with another player nearby

Random post-win shot Having an ally to trade with late in the match is extremely important as the remaining enemies will embargo you, stopping your economy. This is especially the case in FFA. Note the deep infrastructural buildup. This one was pretty grindy, but satisfying.

My most recent use case for Gemini 2.5 is as an io-game coach. Dump the minified JS into the model, and now I can ask detailed questions about how the game, AI, and resources work. Has really improved my strats on the latest addiction - OpenFront[dot]io
