I have been a fan of the Nuggets for last 10 years or so. That 7 game series with OKC last year was the most mad I ever have been about the refs. I understand I was watching with a bias. But, I clearly saw Jokic getting fouled sometimes over 5 times on just one possession with no call. Especially when Caruso guarded Jokic. Then I would see the forearm pushoff from SGA to get space and never saw one offensive foul called. And there was a huge difference between the Jokic flop and the SGA flop. Sometimes Jokic would actually be pushed hard and he flopped to show the contact. Often SGA would create the contact or have no contact at all and still make a dramatic fall to try to fool the ref.

I don’t really get the OKC hate Everyone’s complaints about the modern game are 1) teams not playing physical enough 2) teams jacking too many threes 3) teams not being home grown OKC does the opposite and people just hate it? Outside of Dort flops, I mostly enjoy them

I don’t have a problem with flopping. Everybody does it. But do not label yourself and your team as “ethical basketball” with stuff like this. Wemby and JB are the ones that have left themselves open to a higher level of criticism.

@bill2car @hedging_henry Ur cherry picking moments from games where the team you rooted for didn’t get the advantage. Anyone can do the same including okc. Shai gets mauled by castle and smart and reaves constantly throughout the game and has to embellish the contact, just like jokic and wemby do.

Happy to explain why I have little respect for OKC: Their defensive effort is outstanding. But way too much cheap stuff: grabbing, pushing, flopping, etc. Did you see Holmgren putting his foot on Wemby's ankle at free throw line? And Hartenstein pulling the hair of Castle? And refs are allowing OKC to foul a lot with no calls. I have seen Jokic get fouled by Caruso 5 or 6 times on one possession with no calls. SGA forearm shove to push defender away, then when defender tries to recover SGA jumps into them without trying to make a shot. SGA often jumps into defenders and falls down dramatically. I usually root some for small market teams. It is also good that OKC built their team without just buying big name free agents. And I love their defensive effort. Actually, I am more mad at the refs and Commissioner for not enforcing the written rules than I am mad at OKC players for taking advantage of how the refs call the game. Offensive players should not be allowed to push the defender away before shooting. When the offensive player clearly creates the contact it is not a foul on the defender. Flopping dramatically should not be rewarded. "embellishment", making contact look a lot worse than it really was should be technical foul.
