Dear friends, April was a month that finally saw the realization of a very important step for our sanctuary. We finally found the right way to be able to start sterilizing our female cats. As you know our male cats are all sterilized, but we could not sterilize the females for various reasons - but now we have started slowly. Since we had to welcome several pregnant or recently given birth mothers, we urgently need to implement our plan to carry out a sterilization campaign. We urgently need to purchase anesthesia, necessary medicines, and above all create the suitable space for the post-operative period. Can you help us? We are so excited and happy to be able to save the lives of our female cats, but we really need to ask for your help. Our dream is to have a sanctuary with 100% healthy, vaccinated, well-nourished and sterilized cats. The cost of an operation with anesthesia and medicine is estimated at around €15 for each cat. With a heavy heart we are writing this. We’ve just had a call from our vets regarding Bob. Sadly his heart stopped beating while under anesthesia. As always we understand the risks involved. RIP BOB 🌈😭🐿🩶🐿😭🌈

The war in the middle East is really affecting Syria now. We are having daily power cuts, disruption in goods crossing the border and this week food, water and gasoline is raised another 15 - 25%, on top of already inflated prices. We are really trying to not run appeals on every post, but sometimes things get so scarey we need to ask for help. Today is one of those times. Our cats are okay, and so are we. We call this Rubens special porridge. This is what we gave him after he had his front teeth removed when he was around 1yr old. He loved it then, and still loves it now 🐿🩶🐿🩶🐿
