@Geiyu3 Yeah like I imagine him drinking a lot but that’s not too different from a lot of British people (esp working class brits). I def never jived with Snape abstaining from alcohol. Dude is having a ciggy and a stiff one at the end of a day of torture (teaching)

I entertain the idea of Tobias being an alcoholic, and Severus hating alcohol because of it. But I always return to the text: there's no evidence. JKR never once cites Tobias as a drunkard. His violence belongs to him and him alone—and honestly, that's the more compelling reading

The thing about liking Severus Snape is that you can’t do a lot of the “aesthetic stuff” you can do with other characters. I know a lot of people do black clothes and stuff but the truth is he is the most unaesthetic individual on earth.

I love Rickman but his Snape is, frankly, not quite my Snape. The directors made some decisions that don’t quite match his actual character to me but hey…
