I stopped at the Portland #ICE detention center today to read some of the thoughtful messages left by peaceful protesters.

A homeless teenager describes his drug addiction. There are countless children living on our streets and many are addicts. Many are on the streets because they escaped violence in their own households.

🚨BREAKING: Anti @ICEgov & anti @realDonaldTrump protestor climbed a wood structure at the Portland, Oregon @DHSgov building after the #NoKingsPortland rally. The person was seen kicking the security cameras and eventually throwing them down to the ground before turning their attention to what appears to be some kind of extension cord. Thus person and group of others began to pull on the cord and eventually broke it.

Last night was the worst night I've ever seen in Portland. Counter protesters stood alone as mobs surrounded them and forced them to leave. We witnessed multiple violent assaults on them. While they were being picked off one by one the left was United and terrorising law enforcement, breaking into the gates of the ICE facility and repeatedly telling our agents to kill themselves. Numerous burnings of the flag. Barely anyone was arrested. The state police came... And they left. No de-escalation tactics were used. It was a sad day in America last night...
