@Sathibuilds Ty
Congrats on hitting the 3 figures, man! Massive milestone. Keep crushing it!

This hits so close to home. 1 paid user > 100+ free tier ghosts, always.
Currently launching OrrivaBot on Product Hunt today, and keeping API costs under strict guardrails while designing our Freemium model was our biggest architectural challenge. Unlimited free access is a silent killer for AI bootstrappers.
Kudos to you for making the scary but right call. Protect your runway, look for high-value users, and keep building!

Giving free access was the biggest mistake I made
Yesterday, I made the scariest decision since launching my app: I removed the free limit
Maybe 2,200+ users will leave bad reviews and lower my ratings. That's okay. At least I'm saving money. Right now, I'm saving around $4 per day that was being spent on users who were never interested in paying. Most of them were only using the free trial
I need quality users
I'm happy to offer value, but I can't keep investing forever. Over the last 3 months, I've spent nearly $290 on API and server costs
So I made a choice: I'd rather have fewer quality users than thousands of free users who never convert
Yes, I might lose some ASO reach if people delete the app, but I can invest that same money into Facebook Ads or Google Ads and attract real paying users
One thing I've learned from the last 3 months:
I'm never giving free access again. Ever

Finally, I stopped giving free access to my app users I have 100+ daily active users, but they're just burning my tokens 1 paid user >>> 100+ free users

If you are running a Discord community, OrrivaBot is what you need. Built with advanced LLM context logic to eliminate server moderation friction and rule enforcement.
Check it out: orriva.win

@orrivadev Yeah we know how well LLM moderation works on youtube, surely it'll work great here too.
English

fair point, We all know the nightmare of YouTube's clunky, rigid automod.
But my purpose here is simply to replace the original, outdated keyword blocking of MEE6. Compared to a rigid blacklist that gets bypassed instantly by typos or sarcasm, don't you think an LLM context engine would be miles more accurate?
It’s built to understand your specific server rules and actual intent, not to be a blunt, blind ban-hammer. Always down to have people stress-test it, though!
English

Hey, thank you for sharing your concerns! I totally get where you're coming from—AI hallucination and privacy are valid discussions whenever automation is involved.
However, OrrivaBot isn't designed to blindly "replace" human intuition with a generic chatbot. It works as an advanced assist layer aligned strictly with your server's unique rulebook to catch deep contexts (like severe sarcasm or toxic intent inside voice channels) that traditional keyword blacklists completely miss.
Manual moderation scales terribly when a server grows to tens of thousands of members, leading to massive moderator burnout. We handle data privacy with extreme care, and our goal is to save the sanity of human teams, not rogue banning.
Would love to have you actually stress-test the LLM context logic yourself before writing it off! Constructive criticism is always welcome.
English

@orrivadev This is like the worst thing imaginable. Privacy concerns aside: this is the most inconsistent, unreliable idea ever. it WILL work so much worse than manual moderation. do not use this. ever.
