Member of Parliament and National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams responds: - I offered to comply three weeks ago in an email to KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, now suspended national commissioner General Fannie Masemola and Police Minister Firoze Cachalia. - I said to them please do not send masked armed gunmen to my house. I don't want my children traumatised. I also don't want the expense incurred on the SAPS on the state on the taxpayer, I hand myself over. - What did they do? They sent masked gunmen to what they thought was my house to abuse and traumatise my family and abuse and traumatise an innocent family. - We have since taken the matter where it belongs. We are before the Western Cape High Court. - The judge has ordered the South African Police Services to present the information that they've hidden from us so that he can make a determination. - Why now, when the South African Police Services find themselves before the court, do they put out a statement? - Why did they not put out a statement before? Why did they not respond to my email? Why did they try to hunt me down like a bank robber? - We will see the Police Services in court tomorrow [Wednesday] morning. - The judge will make a determination on the lawfulness of this warrant and the lawfulness of their action and the role of [Crime Intelligence head] Dumisani Khumalo in all of this. - I ask the South African public to understand that Dumasani Kumalo, the head of the PKTT, is in court on fraud charges that I laid. - This is nothing more than an attempt to intimidate and discredit me, and it will be proven in court. JUST IN: SAPS CALLS ON MR FADIEL ADAMS TO HAND HIMSELF OVER TO POLICE The South African Police Service (SAPS) Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) is calling on Mr Fadiel Adams to present himself at his nearest police station in connection with a case of Fraud and defeating and or obstructing the course of justice. SAPS is in possession of a J50 warrant of arrest for Mr Adams. The warrant relates to serious allegations that he interfered with ongoing investigations into the murder of the late ANC Youth League Leader, Mr Sindiso Magaqa. Through investigations, the task team discovered that Mr Adams interfered with the now convicted and sentenced hitman at a very sensitive and advanced stage of the police's investigation. Police have gone through extensive efforts to locate Mr Adams, including visiting multiple addresses associated with him. Arrangements were made with his attorney to hand himself over on Monday, 04 May 2026, at the Cape Town Central Police Station, but as of now, he has not cooperated. Mr Adams was scheduled to appear before a KwaZulu-Natal court on Monday but failed to do so. Despite numerous attempts by SAPS to make contact with his legal representative, Mr Adams has not made himself available to police. SAPS urges Mr Adams to cooperate with law enforcement and hand himself over at his nearest police station without delay.

@MorningLiveSABC There's no evidence of that, and your reporting just quoted a clownish guy from the so-called Association of Nigerians. The government of Nigeria doesn't seem to know anything about this.

Nigeria is working towards the permanent repatriation of its willing citizens from South Africa, back to their home country. This follows recent protests and tension over undocumented immigrants. #MorningLive #SABCNews

Large queues of Mozambican nationals have formed at the South Africa border ahead of a planned strike in Mozambique tomorrow. Many appear to be crossing into South Africa as uncertainty grows over the shutdown action. The current situation has raised concern over possible disruptions and border pressure.

@Mothematiks He has always been a loose cannon. When we were still in ANC Youth League, there was hope that he could be guided and will be better as we grew that that proved not to be the case. There's no hope, he is over 40 now

EFF minions always ask why it seems like we blame Malema for our immigration crisis when he is not in government. Here is the answer: March and March marched in KZN, Eastern Cape, and Johannesburg, and the government did not become a poster boy against the marches, but instead the loud-mouth Malema chose again to be the face of anti-marches on immigration. The only lingering voice for illegal immigration is Malema, as though he is in government.

@S_Gwiliza I suspect this will be a trend going forward. The government is running out of ideas to get money out of people as the tax base shrinks. So poll tax might also returns!
