🇪🇺 The EMA’s CHMP has issued a positive opinion for perioperative pembrolizumab + enfortumab vedotin in cisplatin-ineligible muscle-invasive bladder cancer, following phase 3 KEYNOTE-905 data showing significant improvements in EFS, OS, and pCR rates. 🧬📊 In the trial, the combination reduced the risk of recurrence/progression/death by ~60% and delivered a striking 57% pCR rate. 👉NLA–EAS Joint Session: Primary Prevention of ASCVD ☝️One of the most anticipated sessions at #EAS2026, bringing together leaders from the National Lipid Association and the European Atherosclerosis Society to discuss the future of cardiovascular prevention. Key takeaways: 🔹 The expanding role of Lipoprotein(a) in primary prevention and the updated ESC/EAS Dyslipidaemia Guidelines — Børge Nordestgaard 🔹 How coronary imaging can refine primordial and primary prevention strategies — Dinesh Kalra 🔹 Why combination lipid-lowering therapy should become the standard approach to achieve guideline-recommended LDL-C goals — Kausik Ray 🔹 Closing the gap between evidence, guidelines, and real-world implementation — Kaye-Eileen Willard ☝️A recurring message throughout the session: prevention must start earlier, treatment must be more intensive when appropriate, and implementation remains the greatest challenge. ☝️From lifetime exposure to LDL-C and Lp(a), to imaging-guided risk assessment and combination therapy, the roadmap for the next decade of preventive cardiology is becoming increasingly clear. @society_eas @nationallipid @BNordestgaard @ProfKausikRay @DineshKalra

Do you guys agree ? Should people with the VNS implant suffering from Epileptic seizures, where the VNS was the only thing that helped - They should just splash their face with some water ?
Anonymous@Efrwqt

@SterlingCooley God All people need to do to reset their vague nerve ia wash their face with cold water each morning .

The meniscus does far more than cushion the knee. It stabilizes the joint, distributes load, and feeds cartilage with synovial fluid. Repair is always preferred. But avascular tears that cause true mechanical symptoms often cannot be saved. When resection is necessary, the data is clear: arthritis risk increases fourfold, cartilage damage can begin within 18 months, and the likelihood of eventual knee replacement rises significantly. Patient selection, exhausting conservative care first, and aggressive postoperative rehab targeting quadriceps strength are the variables that actually move outcomes. The goal has never changed. Save the meniscus when you can. Protect the joint when you cannot.

📄 Dynamic radiomics in CMR: promising—but how stable are the features? 🔗 DOI: doi.org/10.1093/ehjimp… 🫀 Radiomics is unlocking hidden information from CMR images—but there’s a critical question: 👉 Are these features reliable enough for clinical use, especially when considering the whole cardiac cycle? This study tackles exactly that. ✨ What’s new? 👉 Moves beyond static analysis (ED/ES only) ➡️ Introduces dynamic radiomics ✔ Analyses how radiomic features evolve across the entire cardiac cycle ✔ Tests their stability under noise ✨ Study at a glance: 🔹 115 subjects (simulation + real datasets) 🔹 910 radiomic features extracted 🔹 Multiple noise levels applied 📊 As shown in the graphical abstract (page 2): 👉 features classified as stable / moderate / unstable ✨ Key findings: 📉 Most features are surprisingly stable: ➡️ Majority show low variability (MAE < 2.5) 📊 Moderate consistency across subjects: ➡️ Spearman correlation ~0.58 🔹 Feature type matters: ✔ First-order features → more stable ❗ GLSZM features → less stable ⚠️ Not all features are equal: 👉 Some features are: highly sensitive to noise dependent on noise level 📌 As illustrated in Figure 2 (page 5): ➡️ feature curves behave very differently under noise 🧠 Key insight: 👉 Stability ≠ usefulness ✔ Stable features → better ML performance ✔ But clinical value must still be validated 📊 Models using stable features achieved higher accuracy 🤖 Why this matters: 👉 Radiomics is increasingly used for: diagnosis risk prediction phenotyping ➡️ But without feature robustness, models are unreliable 💡 Clinical take-home message: 👉 Dynamic radiomics is promising—but: ✔ Feature selection must consider stability ✔ Not all features should be used in ML models ✔ Standardisation is essential for clinical translation 🚨 Bottom line: Dynamic radiomics adds powerful temporal information—but only stable features can truly drive reliable AI in cardiac imaging. #Cardiology #CMR #Radiomics #AIinMedicine #MachineLearning #CardiacImaging #DigitalHealth #PrecisionMedicine #MedTech 🫀📊
