The Lunar Astronauts used pure O2 at low pressure (4.5psi) and the suit employed a CO2 scrubber, this recirculated the air that was breathed out with the CO2 removed. Any use O2 being slowly topped up. The suit o2 supply was rated at 22 hours but, they only ever did 7 to 8 hour EVA’s anyway. The main limiting factor of the Moonsuits was the amount of cooling water they could carry for the sublimation system.

Can the photographers in the room explain to me how the sun is behind the earth in the photo but the dark side that is this image is somehow very well lit. This doesn’t make sense. You can clearly tell the sun is just over the horizon on the bottom right of the earth in this photo.
