@stskeeps Wouldn’t a blockchain agnostic tru token expand the pool of potential verifiers/solvers vice having multiple forked Truebit protocols? In other words, with a tru token, can solvers/verifiers run one protocol and receive tasks from various types of task givers?

@AndrewMaughan6 @stskeeps This paper is purely academic, The Truebit Team probably decided to create a token for their business model as a way to generate a sustainable revenue via their tokenomics. Alternatively they could have a business model that takes a cut for every solved computation.

@stskeeps So this is interesting Carsten. I've never read previously that the truebit token could become obsolete. This is not a positive statement for any TRU token holders.
