@Boropolis @ryanblackwood13 Because of the vast amount of money involved & undoubted legal wrangling that will follow, this will cloud any judgement. Perhaps the crucial issue is the absence of a specified sanction. No doubt this will be recommended & will change, & is an exit route for the commission/EFL.
English

A brilliant article from Stewarts, the UK's largest litigation-only law firm, who consider the appropriate sanction to be imposed on Southampton if the club is found guilty of spying.
Well worth a read.

@Dr_AlexDavidson @afneil The nhs is not underfunded, it's clearly massively inefficient. Also too much money is spent on those at the top and the whole workforce's gold plated pensions. Unsustainable without 10p on income tax
English

The difference is they’ve borrowed to invest in British infrastructiue such as purchasing British steel (to ensure the UK still has steel making capacity), invest in the underfunded NHS and green energy. While Truss borrowed to give everyone money off on their energy bills and helped to make inflation reach a 41-year high of 11.1%. Inflation is now trending down and will over the next few years.

The current yield on 10-year gilts (UK bonds) is 4.65% v peak of 4.42% during the ClusterTruss
The current yield on 30-year gilts is 5.25% v peak of 5.12% during the ClusterTruss.
So UK government now paying more to borrow (and has been for sometime) than during ClusterTruss.
Yet Starmer/Reeves claim they’ve ‘fixed’ the economy, which is ‘improving’.
Andrew Neil@afneil
There are 40,000 fewer workers in construction than a year ago. Which is strange since DPM Angela Rayner is meant to be building 1.5m new homes. Either it’s another nonsense target or she’s presiding over one helluva an increase in construction industry productivity … Yet Starmer/Reeves claim to have fixed the foundations of the economy.

@cheesypuff59 @GodfreeTrh @riyazmd774 In progressive countries like China a lot can happen in 17 years. Wish we moved a 10th as fast.
English

@GodfreeTrh @riyazmd774 The same country that had to shutdown all their manufacturing plants for the Olympics because the participants couldn't breathe the air? That red China?

@BobbiHuyton As a Liverpool fan from Hull it makes me cry tears of joy 🥲

Hull are making some serious signings 🤩
Louie Barry is set to join on loan from Aston Villa.

@leighpalmer @Soley1904 Absolutely, football is awash with money whilst pubs are shutting on a weekly basis.
English

@Soley1904 Nah.. local pubs need match days and we need local pubs.
Far better crack and football talk in pubs than any “fanzone” I’ve ever been in.

@derekjennings17 @TigersEarly A few faces I recognise on there, get it on City Fans Forum!

@Hulls107FM @bbcburnsy Ask him where they are at with supporting Hull City's best ever owners in relation to their plans for stadium / sports Village development. Or are we going to hold the city back for the umpteenth time because of a 1 week a year event, that could easily move from its current site.

BURNSY IS BACK!
@bbcburnsy is doing what he does best, holding those in power to account
Hull City Council leader Mike Ross is in on Liveline at 10am tomorrow

@bbcburnsy @HullCity Watch MOTD, seems its all the vogue nowadays, try and walk the ball in and despite earning £xxxxx a week be shit scared of shooting if you can pass that responsibility on. Coaches waxing lyrically about possession amd passing stats. 20k enthusiastic folk stifled into silence.
English

@bbcburnsy @HullCity We'd achieved a bit of an improvement at the back with Allsop but Greaves and Coyle were a big part of that, lost half back 4 Plymouth felt like back to sq 1 with 'static' situations returning.
English

@MartinSLewis @ofgem Just provides utilities with guaranteed income regardless of how struggling folk try to reduce their consumption. Encourages companies to ignore efficiency improvements and use that money to increase profits in short term after paying huge salaries and dividends. Morally corrupt
English

It hasn't let firns get away with Standing Charges. Many don't want them. It has told them they MUST charge them. Standing charge levels are due to @ofgem. There is a consultation on at the moment. We are strongly pushing for them to be lowered (as I've done many times before) it's a terrible moral hazard.
John Bloodrage@Johnbloodrage
@MartinSLewis Why has Ofgem let the energy suppliers get away with quadrupling the standing charges on top of high unit rates?
English

@bbcburnsy @RadioHumberside Terrible decision, you've done so much for the local scene, when will the madness end.

"And now the end is near..."
It's all gone a bit Francis Albert and the final curtain is going to close on my time on The Burnsy Show @RadioHumberside .
Lots of love to my producers and colleagues who face a very uncertain and unsettling time.

@RadioHumberside @bbcburnsy Burnsy, I see that Trinity beer festival is already sold out for the 2 Saturday sessions. Why is it that everything that is successful and popular in this city has to be restricted numbers wise. Humber St Sesh for eg.

Callers to the @bbcburnsy show suggest it's the new series of Hullraisers 👀 #Hull

@lufcxlogan @ewan_smfc Get over yourself Logan, oh, and its Hull City.
English

@rylanfromleeds1 @ewan_smfc Agreed you don't even have any decent docks.
English

@AvfcGs @ewan_smfc Agreed, Villa are poor, and last game we played was 2-2 so looks like a fair assessment
English

@parkinscroat @ewan_smfc Dont base your view on our the first 119 years, look to the future, may even need a new cat, 'super massive'.
English

@ewan_smfc Hull City are the most average club to have ever existed.

@MattyHC5 Seems to be doing just about everything many fans have suggested needed doing for years in order to grow our fan base. Is this all down to our new leaders or is there someone very ITK re what is needed locally in the background with great advice that Acun and Tan are following?
English

We’re so lucky to have acun and tan. The just get it. Our club was starved of any positivity for far too long, depleted crowds, lack of care for the fans etc and now we’re finally back in a place full of hope and excitement. They’re a credit to this club and the city. #hcafc
Baz Cooper@bazdjcooper
@wakka80 Absolutely, the club have been doing some phenomenal work off the pitch and deserve great credit.
