The nipper has been dropped off at the grandparents and I'm off for an overdue day out on the lash around Manchester with a wee pal of mine. First stop. Breakfast.

If you want to know what sort of person DAVID NIVEN (who left us 43yrs ago today, aged 73) was, the largest wreath at his funeral was from the Porters at Heathrow Airport. It read: “To the finest gentleman who ever walked through these halls. He made a Porter feel like a King.”

I was left this watch by my father when he passed many years ago, and if I’m honest, I know very little about it. I’ve always wondered about its history, age, value, or even the manufacturer, but I’ve never looked into it properly. Do any of my followers recognise it or know anything about it? Any information or insight would be greatly appreciated.

It’s 60 years ago tomorrow, when England were crowned World Champions, but we will forever debate whether England’s third goal from Geoff Hurst did ever cross the line. This is a great angle, with original commentary from BBC Radio. #England #WorldCup

@1968Tv In case of a 2:2 result, Germany would’ve won the rematch at least 3:0. ;-)

🇾🇪 The Legendary Sir Bobby Charlton The man who won everything there was to win, was more admired for who he was than what he achieved. That's the true measure of greatness, not the medals in your cabinet, but the character you carry. That's what every person, footballer or not, should aspire to. Bobby Charlton achieved both, and never confused which mattered more. #BobbyCharlton #MUFC #ManchesterUnited

Well the overwhelming amount of replies say stay brown. But I really like this. I mean really, really like it. And growing out at the roots wouldn't show too much meaning I wouldn't have to get it done very 8 weeks. More thoughts please.

@MartinKnight_ I think cannan is the strongest candidate. I think in similar situations where there is a strong candidate with previous that it should be possible to get approval to give them truth drugs to put the families out of their misery. It would have been useful on sutcliffe and black

It would be interesting to know where John Worboys was in July 1986. He would have been 29. The notion that he didn’t start offending until 2001 when he was out in his black cab and in his mid-forties is fanciful.

Back by popular demand is the landlord drinking game. The rules are ever so simple. Name ONE player who has played for the same club in two different spells. But you can't say Jurgen Klinsmann. Failure to play by the rules means the tray of shots comes out. Annnnnd go......

@karl1953howman The proposed expansion to 64 teams will lead to the USA being the “only” place the WC can be accommodated so exactly as you say we’ll end up with another World Series . Infantino doesn’t inspire confidence .

What did I say! The monetisation of the World Cup with Trumps son in laws hands all over it. It will become like their World Series only held every two years. Europe should have nothing to do with this FFS. America has no knowledge of the evolution of this beautiful game🤬

EXCLUSIVE: Fifa's president Gianni Infantino is planning to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors under a scheme that could potentially earn him tens of millions of pounds. Investor discussions held with figures close to the Trump administration, say sources. thetimes.com/sport/football…
