It's not us, but those mobilising against all migrants, regardless of whether they are documented or not! This is the route to fascism, comrade
Khandani Msibi@KhandaniM

@Zwelinzima1 Nobhala, no one is against anybody who comes into this country legally, none whatsoever. But u guys are conveniently mixing this to drive a false narrative, and u also ignore how countries they come from maintain same principles we want entrenched here.

WHY is SAPS having meetings with people who have broken the law instead of doing its job and enforcing the law?! Why are you legitimising lawlessness @SAPoliceService??
SA Police Service 🇿🇦@SAPoliceService

#sapsKZN [AT THIS HOUR] The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Mr Thami Ntuli, MEC for Public Works, Martin Meyer, MEC for Cogta Rev Thulasizwe Buthelezi, MEC for EDTEA Rev Musa Zondi and the #SAPS KZN PC, Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi have convened a meeting with March and March leaders, Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Nkosikhona Ndabandaba, also known as 'Phakelamthakathi' at the Premier's Office in Durban on Friday, 08/05. Also in the meeting are senior government officials from various departments such as Home Affairs, Employment and Labour, commanders of various police units and Metro Police officers, represented by the Deputy Commissioner Rajenchin. The meeting is aimed at addressing the ongoing marches that the city of Durban has been experiencing of late. The engagement also seeks to address the legality of the actions by concerned civil society structures, and what the law permits on protests and marches. Hijacked buildings, issuing of business permits, employment of undocumented foreign nationals and misinformation on the alleged attack on foreign nationals are also being ventilated. ME

Senate Erupts Over Xenophobia in South Africa Nigeria’s Senate clashed over how to respond to rising xenophobic tensions in South Africa, with proposals ranging from nationalising South African businesses to stronger retaliatory measures. The Federal Government says Nigerians willing to return home will fund their own travel, with about 130 already registered, also within South Africa, the issue remains deeply divisive. Opposition leader Julius Malema questioned whether the attacks have actually created jobs for citizens.
