@JesseLebert @BadWeatherKyle I was wondering about this too on the weekend. When you click on the link in their profile it takes you to the official ECCC site. Confusing.

Don't do this. Official weather warnings in Canada are issued by Environment Canada only. Other parties can & should rebroadcast OFFICIAL warnings to reach as many people as possible. Confusion in emergency situations as to the validity of warnings is dangerous #skstorm #abstorm

There are things that a printed newspaper can do that no website could ever do. This is magnificent.

Canada isn't perfect, but I am proud to be Canadian. I am proud of the many things Canadians have accomplished. We are a sovereign nation, never a state. My name is Craig and I. AM. CANADIAN.

#cbcnye is a charming cross-Canada celebration of what makes Canada great. We're a joyful, diverse nation of people from many backgrounds. It's nice to see so many different communities represented. We all belong here. Let's not change that in 2025 or ever. Happy new year Canada.

@ours_calin @saskfarmer306 Ethan Williams, the CBC Sask weather guy, was in Inglis, Manitoba representing Sask. I only saw him once (though I was not watching carefully!) I missed not having cross country musical performances this year.

@CynicTasha @deb_bidulka Yes. I can't explain the NDP's lack of push back on so many fronts. And they are not good at campaigning. This campaign was okay, but not great. Beck is fine but not charismatic. I always expected them to lose, but I got hopeful at the end. Sask NDP needs a Nenshi.

Is not rural Sk experiencing the same pain as the cities when it comes to healthcare and education? Do they not have a homeless problem? Have they not seen the blind eye to the corruption and the 31 billion dollar debt? Why do they want/voted for 4 more years of Moe?

🧵 on the inherent dishonesty and branding in several provinces offer of “virtual ERs” Offering virtual access to a physician is better than nothing but it is not the same thing as having access to a properly staffed ER.
alan drummond@alandrummond2

The "Virtual ER" model being widely adopted in Saskatchewan and Newfoundland has its roots in the belief that most visits to rural ERs are for minor, non-urgent and largely deferrable patient presentations.

Old Wives Lake in Saskatchewan is a salt lake in south-central Saskatchewan near Moose Jaw. A Migratory Bird Sanctuary, it also has a very unique name. Where did that name come from? There are a few theories, so let's dive in to the story! 🧵1/8
