My thoughts on the @ceosleepout A thread… How did I get here? I’m educated, articulate & used to be involved in my community through work & volunteering. Then, how have I found myself living in my car for almost three years? Because I am a 53 yr old woman.

I think it's really important to have the security of a home where you can invite others or not, as suits you.

My mental illness would prevent me living in a community like this. Homeless people need housing and not for profit orgs need to broaden their strategies because the money they raise does not teach women like me. No kids no dv low priority.
