Difference between millionaires and billionaires: If you made $1 million a month (12 million a year), how long do you think it would take to reach M. Zuck's wealth? Think of an answer, then check the replies.

@theo Man, I like your channel, but this rage-baiting, click-baiting is kinda a bummer. And yet, here I am, driving up your engagement numbers by commenting, so... touché.

@DanielcHooper Well, the official URL for "Dear ImGui" is github.com/ocornut/imgui - that may have something to do with it. (It feels a bit like how "Chrome" used to mean "the stuff in the browser that isn't the web page," but then Google came along with a cheeky idea for a browser name...)

@computerender I don't know why this post has so few comments, but the *video* makes it clear that people love this, and many are hoping for some sort of a release or update. Regardless of if that happens, what you've created is beautiful.

@linc_a_dinc I was surprised to discover that Brave is actually FOSS - I'd have to read about it again, but it's *supposedly* a chromium browser that's fully de-googled. That said, I'd love a third option! Awful as it was, at least Internet Explorer's Trident engine was a third option!

This is long overdue… After some careful and long deliberation I’ve decided that from here on out I’ll be making a change. For too long I’ve put off this decision and it’s irresponsible to delay it any longer. I will be switching from Chrome to Firefox.

@RaphaelNithin @lucasMnts Doesn't work for the use case of "feed it to an LLM" - they're not going to be able to tokenize it, at least not with the currently used paradigms.

@lucasMnts What if we use a binary format instead, like Protocol Buffers? That's more efficient than either of the formats, I believe.

@RealAidenCook @lucasMnts I'm *not* saying I like it, but, per their docs, "TOON combines YAML's indentation-based structure for nested objects with a CSV-style tabular layout for uniform arrays." And to be fair, nested data isn't really possible in CSV. (Nested CSV, sure, but, eww, the escaping hell)

@SamNewby_ For what it's worth, there's hypothetically a site - toonformat.dev - but it just redirects to the github repo. It looks like it uses quotes "when necessary" (such as if it "Contains active delimiter, colon, quote, backslash, or control chars")

It’s absolutely wild that you can take this train to and from an airport, and you can fly and land in the United States and your only option will be rideshare, a bus that comes every 60 minutes or to rent a car. Are we genuinely not embarrassed?

@computerender Dang - it's kind of a shame that the video was posted with comments disabled. (To be fair, I'm sure 80% of them would be "WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THIS?!" but I imagine you'd have a lot of appreciation & positive feedback!

The video on Mote is up! Finally someone's using the GPU for what it should be used for: zillions of squirming simulated life forms in miraculously self-regulating ecosystems. Exploding membranes. Herds of tiny herbivores and encroaching fungi. Smells.

@LeiaInc Reconsider this. Losing developers is a great way to kill a platform. I had a tab open to buy Lume Pad 2, but if you're killing off the SDK? I'm not buying into a dying platform. In the words of Steve Ballmer - "Developers, developers, developers!" (early days of .NET)
Seth A. Robinson@rtsoft

Update: Whelp... uh, guess I won't be doing any more builds for the Lume Pad 2. AFAIK Samsung isn't making their SDK public either, it's all business deals and forcing people to use their Odyssey 3D Hub? No thanks.

@blairewhite More relevant is "deportations per year." 2025, sources vary, but per Trump's late April report, it'll total about 507k/yr (Source: Cato Institute & DHS) B. Clinton: 108,706 G.W. Bush: 251,567 B. Obama: 383,307 D. Trump (1st Term): ~375,000 D. Trump (2nd Term): ~ 253k - 507k
