Can I just remind you, how concerning I find this revelation as Hodge was credited with the dubious honour of leading the now well documented fake anti-semitism allegations against MP Jeremy Corbyn. Her proximity and friendship to the disgraced Peter Mandelson should cause @KeirStarmer the Prime Minister to put a huge question mark over her suitability to become Ofcom head. Both she & Mandy admitted to working "every single day to destroy Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership". I've known @jeremycorbyn for more than 25 years and can say with certainty that he is a thoroughly decent, kind human being whose reputation took a hammering from two peers who today have a proven track record for lying and deceit. Inserting Hodge into the Ofcom role is a form of insanity and bound to backfire adding to Starmer's many ill judged appointments. Back in 2019 she broke all trust and privacy protocols when she made a secret recording in the then Labour Leader's Parliamentary office. But I can go back further to 1982-1992 when she was leader of Islington Council. Her initial response to allegations of the widespread physical and sexual abuse of children in the borough's care system was to do nothing and call out "sensationalist and gutter journalism" by the @LondonEvening Standard. Just like her close friend Mandelson, she failed to act on or heed the allegations of a paedophile ring operating under her nose. She did eventually apologise but by then she had ignored whistleblowers including social worker Liz Davies, who tried to alert senior council members, including Hodge, about the abuse, but these warnings were not acted upon effectively at the time. Clearly this woman is not fit to sit as head of Ofcom, a key role with significant responsibility for safeguarding, particularly regarding the protection of children and users from harmful online content.

Western leaders and their sycophants in the media have finally - at the World Economic Forum in Davos - decided to change the script on their "rules-based international order," apparently over Trump's threats against Greenland.
