Marely looking at them, they look more Ijaw than Igbo even in behaviour.
Igbos should do everything to remove them from wider Igbo family

Onuku is a derogatory word which was used to refer to Igala settlers in Asaba/Onitsha area.

The name "Edo N ri si lle Uku akpolokpolo" from the Edo language has changed over time to the name we know today, Isele-Uku. Their king, referred to as "obi," comes from the Edo word "ovbi." These people and their royalty are descendants of the Benin, not the Igbo.

That is why anyone with the name Obi is most likely from Delta or Anambra state.
There is strong evidence that Idu's were highly influenced by Igbo culture.

Rumu in Ikwerre means Children while Oro means house.
So when you say Rumuola it simply means Children of Ola and when you say Orogbum it simply means House of Ogbum.

Please what does the word Rumu mean, I mean Rumu in the word rumuokoro, Rumuola etc. I asked because it sounds like Urhobo where we call street urhuvwu...( Pronunciation will show the similarity more) And the rumuokoro and Rumuola simply means Okoro and Ola Street respectively. And for this Orogbum, in urhobo it means ogbum town, for the Oro (spelt as Orho) means town.

Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi Onitsha narrates the origin of Onitsha and how his ancestors migrated from Benin to found present-day Onitsha. He also mentions there was an earlier migration from ife(Ado) hence they’re called Onitsha Ado n’idu. This explains Onitsha western style kingship as those across the Niger and also use the Ada and Evben, symbol of their Edoid heritage. Onitsha clothe in the royal cotton clothes of the Anioma people and are family of Ezechime decendants (Not all communities in Delta North were founded by Ezechime decendants)
