A predictable anti-EV talking points is: “Sure, but wait until you need a new battery.”
You don’t - they tend to outlast the car.
But if you did, an avg 64 kWh battery in 2030, after 8 yrs warranty, would cost $5,449.
That’s 1 yr of diesel for a Ford Ranger at current rates.

@aaronsmith Can the EV community stop this. It’s not just about replacement it’s about the fact that I bought 308 mile EV and after 20k miles it shows a full charge is 295 now. In another 20k it will be 278 or so. Degradation is the main issue for anyone who like to keep vehicles for 10 yrs.

Immediately got four replacement tyres at Taupo New Zealand.
Cost just over NZD3100 (which @GORentals will probably pay for).
I’m shocked that @Michelin EV specific tyres have a “B” traction rating.
For such expensive tyres, a B traction rating is appalling.

#NZYtour Model Y Ruh roh Had a slow leak in the right front tyre, so had a look at it with a view to finding a Tek screw and chucking in a tyre slug. It became pretty clear that tyre slugs weren’t going to cut the mustard 😂 (All four tyres beyond the belts on the inner edges)

Looks like a new @TeslaAUNZ software update is rolling out, but apparently not a new version of @Tesla_AI FSD (Supervised) Down Under which appears to still be V13.2.9
