There are two primary things a post can do for your brand: 1. Reinforce a reason to want the product 2. Build the audience that will eventually see the posts that do Brands default to one and stay there. Some go all in on function one. Every post mentions the product and everything sounds like marketing. People tune out because there's nothing in it for them. Some go all in on function two. Memes and shitposts. They build a large following that was never primed to care about what they sell. The best approach is to treat both functions as non-negotiable. The entertaining posts grow the pool. The product posts give reasons to want it. Neither works without the other. If your content mix is lopsided, you already know which function to balance out.

Social housing courtyard design for Eivassa, Spain There are no corridors here. Instead there are *16* separate elevators and stairs each serving two apartments. This can actually save space and means each home is dual aspect, getting light and air from both sides - thread 🧵

The biggest mistake people make after publishing an article is treating it like one piece of content. It's a collection of ideas. After writing, identify: - One idea someone could understand without reading the rest - One idea that changes how people think about the topic - One idea that solves a specific problem Those can become standalone posts. The people who read the full article are only a fraction of the people who'll engage with those ideas individually.
