If we want to take sexual assault and rape seriously, and I do, people really need to stop hurling allegations at people as a means of political attack. Words mean things, and “predatory” is not an accurate descriptor for this scenario whatsoever.

anyway i’m voting biss. i wrestled with voting for mike simmons, who i rlly like and admire, but biss is also a true progressive who was an effective mayor & will be an excellent rep. it’s a little strategic too, as it’s important that fine & kat lose. i want a rep who lives here

she’s absolutely right to be frustrated when thousands of out-of-district commentators are calling on her to end her (extremely community-rooted!) campaign in favor of someone who moved to the district *after* announcing her candidacy, just bc they’re both young progressive women

Bushra had also expressed quite a bit of frustration, both publicly and privately, about this idea she would just blindly endorse the other young progressive woman because polls says she was trailing, as if she doesn’t have any other choice
