Prof. Marandi on how Iran built its missile program from absolute zero
13 men sent to Syria in 1984 with orders to acquire knowledge no one would sell them
From Scud reverse-engineering to the Sejjil — liquid fuel to solid fuel, foreign lineage to indigenous design
The lineage is wild when you trace it back:
Russian theorist Tsiolkovsky wrote the math in 1903.
USA's Goddard built the first liquid rocket in 1926.
The Nazis weaponized it into the V-2.
The Soviets captured the factories after WWII and reverse-engineered it into the Scud.
Soviets sold Scuds to Syria and Libya, which then passed it on to Tehran.
The AK-47 democratized infantry warfare. The Scud democratized deterrence.
The Shahed is democratizing air power; cheap, mass-produced, and pointed the other way.

this is nuts!
Mark Cuban just said something every young person should hear.
AI agents are GOING to run through every small and mid-size business in the country.
not a single one of those owners will know how to build them.
his advice is to learn claude. learn agentic workflows. just learn AI and how it works.
then go to these businesses and help them because they won’t know how to do any of this shit.
they have money to spend. they have deep problems.
they don’t have you!

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s #1 advice for students:
“If I were a student today, the first thing I would do is learn AI.
How do I interact with ChatGPT? Gemini Pro? Grok?
Learning to prompt AI is like becoming world-class at asking questions. It takes expertise and artistry.
Irrespective of your field—math, science, chemistry, biology—ask yourself: How can I use AI to do my job 10× better?”
Clip from this 52-second moment — Jensen Huang telling the next generation exactly where the real edge is right now.
What’s the single best prompt trick you’ve discovered that makes AI feel like an unfair superpower in your work or studies?

My mom homeschooled me with her 9th grade education. I graduated and earned a Bachelor's degree in business. I learned from her that Anyone Can Homeschool by remembering these truths:
-->It doesn't take 12 years to educate a child. That's the bureaucratic way. At home, it takes half the hours and half the days. That adds up to far less than 12 years.
-->If you can read, you can teach. A good curriculum comes with a teacher guide, so you just need to stay one step ahead of your child. That's how my mom did it.
-->By middle school, your kids are largely able to learn independently by reading and following directions. You are there to assist if needed.
-->God has called us to be separate from the world. That includes how we educate our children. It's less popular, but that's okay. My mom definitely lived this out.
-->The homeschool community provides lots of help, like tutors, co-ops, and online classes where needed. You can utilize all of these or none of them.
-->You are not going to mess up your child. That's what the world is trying to do. You are there to protect them from the mess. Embrace it.
26 years into homeschooling my own kids, I can tell you that my mom's example gave me the confidence to homeschool without fear, without hesitation, and with boldness. I'm here to offer those same things for you.
Anyone Can Homeschool.
