@ScottBilleck Without any doubt. Asset of that caliber walks away...nothing in return. If Schief or Helle wouldn't have signed long term, would have been traded for sure. Other GMs get fired for this type of asset mismanagement...not the Jets.

It will always remain a mystery to me why the Jets could never see what Carolina long saw in Ehlers. They wanted him for years and as soon as they had a chance, they snapped him up, played him more and in better spots, leaned on his strengths. Undervalued here. Not there.
Nik 🎷@NikLynam

Ehlers Mins in 2nd round vs DAL Game 1: 18:51 Game 2: 14:37 Game 3: 16:24 Game 4: 16:45 Game 5: 14:56 Game 6: 14:48 Ehlers Mins in 7 playoff games w/ CAR Game 1: 18:38 Game 2: 24:20 (2 OT) Game 3: 17:06 Game 4: 18:17 Game 5: 21:35 (OT) Game 6: 17:30 Game 7: 18:31 He chose opportunity, and a chance at the big dance. He got both. Watching how CAR manipulates minutes throughout a game vs how WPG makes no adjustments ever is stark

@BobIrvingCJOB Revenue generation increase for the league and the teams involved. Playoff games have high attendance...concessions, team merchandise, etc.

The CFL’s 8 of 9 playoff format is brutally flawed from a perception point of view. No dispute there. But my unconditional love for this great Cdn game causes me to say “let’s give it a chance.” Maybe it will drive interest as teams jockey for a favourable seeding. Glass 1/2 full

It is amazing to see that the only players scoring for the Oilers are their depth guys

My take on Chevyldayoff’s comments is that he believes a return to the Jets strong defensive structure of the previous 2seasons along with some better personnel additions and internal personnel improvements will be the foundation for a return to the playoffs. Do you Agree???

@ScottBilleck Pretty much. I also enjoyed other player feedback about how the Jets were better after the break when younger players from the Moose came up.

Connor Hellebuyck has two Vezinas, two Jennings and a Hart since he re-signed. The Jets promised Hellebuyck a contender. Hellebuyck's held up his end of the bargain, at one of the team-friendliest contracts in the league. He bluntly told Cheveldayoff yesterday to do better.

@BobIrvingCJOB Great for 4th line, which should be speed and youth ...not slow and aged ;)

Re-signing Cole Keopke a no brainer for the Jets. A fast, useful 3rd or 4th liner. But this should be one of the least significant moves the Jets make this summer

@jpolly22 Do not sign aging players signed last summer. Trade area of strength (defence) for area of weakness (forward scoring). Try and trade aging players who have a year or two left on their contracts. Acquire speed assets. Get a Ryan Reaves type for protection.

@BobIrvingCJOB Looking forward to seeing what the long term GM does this summer. The future of the team...and possibly his...is on the line. We become a playoff team again...or not...no playoffs....should be no Chevy.

Looked like their hearts weren’t in it, their heads definitely weren’t. An embarrassing 6-1 home ice loss for the Jets to end an embarrassing season. Shabby defensive play, inability to score. Fitting. What to do now?? A summer of great intrigue lies ahead in Winnipeg.

@BobIrvingCJOB Cdn mafia! 3 wins for 6 Grey Cup appearances if the Bombers were to win it all this year. I hope they win...not just for the fans...but for those three. Better legacy...even than what they have now.

Even though half of it came from hosting the Grey cup, the Blue Bombers 12.1 million dollar profit in 2025 is a testament to Wade Millers ingenuity & Kyle Walters & Mike Oshea putting a winning product on the field. In my 5 decades, Never thought I’d ever see anything like this.

@BobIrvingCJOB Ridiculous the Jets got nothing for this asset. Colorado did it right re Necas. Jets did it wrong.
