@GeneralManagerO On OKC or many of the teams I often see him mocked to yes I would be. And teams he would average that on like Brooklyn Milwaukee or Sacramento would be crazy to try to build around someone his age. The 2nd contract also becomes an issue where he is 28 and still developing
English

@painedknicksfan Would you be surprised if Yaxel avgd 15-5-5 his rookie year?
English

Why Yaxel Lendeborg needs to go top 6.
The main criticism for Yaxel Lendeborg is age, something he can’t control.
So let me introduce you to
Nique Clifford.
Nique Clifford went 24th overall to the Sacramento Kings, after averaging 19 points, 9.5 rebounds 4.5 assists on 50/37/77 shooting.
He was 23 years old when he was drafted, and here’s his game against the Lakers.
If you think Yaxel Lendeborg can’t come into and make a notable difference in the league at 6’10”, 240 pounds, with zero weaknesses in his game, I don’t know what to tell you.
His age is the only thing keeping Yaxel from going number 1…
… and that’s a pretty good case for him to be the number one overall pick if you ask me.
Role Player Performances@BenchHighlights
Kings rookie Nique Clifford 26 PTS (11-18 FG, 1-2 3P), 7 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK vs. Lakers
English

@GeneralManagerO But what if that takes longer to develop. Teams have a lot of depth and are always looking for upgrades. How patient will a team be in reality if Yaxel isn’t up to speed year 1. I don’t think team and org expectations match up w his developmental path. Lots of list was cast off
English

His basketball maturity is less than other prospects, late to the game.
Also, he can get better, and with such a high floor, I think whenever he gets marginally better, it’ll have a large impact.
Like if he improves his handle and shoots 40% from three.
He has the potential to literally be a point forward big man.
I can’t pass that up.
English

@GeneralManagerO Bold claim to be making. There is always room for the outlier but betting on outliers costs jobs especially when you’re not exactly projecting for ceiling here imo. Definitely a floor and day 1 impact pick and I think that process is a bit flawed considering what history says
English

@painedknicksfan None of them as talented, or as massive as Yaxel Lendeborg.
He’s the exception to the rule
English

@GeneralManagerO •Kris Dunn
•Buddy Hield
•Denzel Valentine
•Justin Jackson
•Cam Johnson
•Obi Toppin
•Davion Mitchell
•Chris Duarte
•Corey Kispert
•Ochai Agbaji
•Zach Edey
•Devin Carter
A lot of guys they said some pretty similar things about man. Age absolutely has to matter in eval
English

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann Shocker when you play physical ass defense the other team also does. Crazy concept doesn’t change that u guys get soft calls on offense and hartenstein (a player I love) was mauling Wemby. An unintentional elbow from Wemby is actually so irrelevant
English

@painedknicksfan @BrettKollmann But it’s only seen from one side, which is hilarious
rio@pilgeousx
😭😭😭😭😭😭
English

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann I was saying this when Caruso was mauling Jokic last year. Sure I wasn’t complaining affecting the outcome of the league. Like yeah no one would care if the jets perfected the tush push. But it doesn’t make the play any less bad for the game
English

@painedknicksfan @BrettKollmann And yet no one cared when Shai shot a career high in free throws when OKC was a ten seed. Almost like the only reason anyone pretends to care is because OKC the reigning champ and their team isn’t
English

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann But he explicitly exploits the rules to get to the line. His entire game is crafted around that. You may not the issue but it’s just bad. My main issues with Okc are more on the defensive side and contrast that with how Shai plays it’s a really bad look
English

@painedknicksfan @BrettKollmann And yet he shoots an extremely normal amount of free throws per game for 30 point scorers. Right in line with MJ, Kobe, Iverson, McGrady etc.
English

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann You Shai defenders really are something. He falls more than anyone else which the bottom line is he is creating more fouls. Falling isn’t his only foul baiting technique I’ve watched him play. WE HAVE EYES
English

@BrettKollmann You’re not even interpreting the data correctly🤣 they aren’t called fouls 50% of the time, he is falling 50% of the time on CALLED FOULS. For a guy that has a platform partially based on the use of data that’s pretty embarrassing. Again , do you care if a WR falls on called DPI?
English

@TraDYOR @British_Buzz I see yeah my b. Just a shockingly bad list man. Edey only real hit but some of these guys they said the same crap about. GMs were salivating over Chris Duarte calling him nba ready and the most polished player in the class.
English

@painedknicksfan @British_Buzz I said "who?" as a response to your list not having any big time players.
English

@TraDYOR @British_Buzz Yaxel. Will be 24 on draft night and played next to a fluid big like Mara. Dude was bigger than everyone and he won’t be in the nba. He’ll have flaws exposed at next level that won’t show up on the scouting report but they exist. In all likelihood he’s not “nba ready” day 1
English

@British_Buzz Guy will be 24 whatever gm drafts this guy because he’s “nba ready and polished” is just falling for the same shit every one of these teams did
English
