Today I had my first day off since the decision & spent it with my daughter. It was lovely.

the other day my baby and i held hands and made unbroken eye contact from 8” away while listening to a beautiful song. i can effortlessly read every micro expression that crosses his face, i’ve spent nearly 100% of his waking moments on earth with him, we spend many hours per day making physical contact.
this level of intimacy is unparalleled by other relationships. the closest is a spouse, which is ofc more intimate in some ways, but far less in others. it’s really special and hard to fully articulate and it’s something i don’t think people can understand until they do it.

Now I realise how well-read I was - a 7yo using understanding of social to guess a new word. That teacher was an ass.

@johnamonaco @yuuiichive When people mispronounce words but use them correctly, it's a sign of being well read. They read them but don't hear them. Clearly the person who asked you how to pronounce school is not well read, or perhaps they would have realized that.

There was a Guy in my class this semester who kept using the word ontologically wrong and one day my professor finally broke and said “Ontologically can be a tricky word to use so don’t feel like you have to” and then the guy stopped showing up for classes entirely

Approx 6 weeks after conception if a Y chromosone is present they produce male sexual organs. If no Y chromosone is present the result is a female that requires no change. It is nature

STATEMENT BY @AngusTaylorMP Yesterday the Full Federal Court confirmed that Australian law does not properly protect single sex spaces for women and girls. Most Australians would find that hard to believe. A coalition government I lead will fix this. We will amend the Sex Discrimination Act to ensure that women and girls (and men and boys) have protections based on biological sex. We will define biological sex in the Act. Male or female. The sex you are born. And we will protect single-sex spaces across Australian life. This is not radical. It is common sense. Let me be clear about what this is not. This is not about targeting transgender Australians. Every protection they currently have remains. We are not removing a single protection from anyone. But we are recognising something that should never have been in doubt: biological sex is real, it matters, and women and girls deserve spaces where it is respected. This will be a first-term priority. The Prime Minister now has a simple question to answer. Does he believe women and girls deserve protections based on biological sex?
