Guess who was one of 2 forwards who didn’t record a shot? The fan club is going to need an intervention. Bad penalty on top of it 10 games without a non empty net point.(1 garbage EN assist) At least his ice time was down. He’s not hacking it. #isles

@earboyq It’s a fluke. Sorokin saved them in a number of those games. And when Pageau and Holmstrom have to play defense it’s a disaster.

@palffynyi16 Honestly, after watching BOS-CBJ in OT the other night, I'm starting think that the Isles 10-0 record in OT isn't a fluke. Isles are just great at 3 on 3 OT. If Schaefer, Barzy, Horvat, Holmstrom, Pageau all played in a 3v3 league, they legit might go 82-0 😂

The delusion that Roy has no impact is laughable. So he got an all world goalie season+a fluke 10-0 OT and that got him 3 pts ahead of PHI (who have 2 games in hand) CLB is not more talented than us, look what the coach did If Cry'Somemore is our coach they are in 1st #isles

#isles Fans, Roy isn't being fired! This team stinks, and no coach can fix that. Darche has been pretty bad. His trade acquisitions, as well as offseason signings, are a disaster. He better pray Eklund and Aitcheson don't bust! IMO, they will back into the playoffs.

@ssuglia @datadomNY any model saying Holmstrom has been better than Barzal this year is pure trash. Sorry can't get past that. Dude has 1 goal in regulation against a top 20 team the last 30 games, it's insanity. They didn't miss him a lick in Buffalo. Dude is great on breakaways vs 31st Calgary

@palffynyi16 I dont see any data you presented. Again, I dont see people overevaluating the player. On TB, sure hes a bottom 6. Honestly hes been bottom 6 on our shitty team for a while too. He kills penalties and has a good shot. Defensively sound. Plays for barely any $. What's the issue?

@craig_kiger Did you see the message I layed out. He performs against crappy teams and on breakaways (most of them bottom feeders). 1 goal vs a top 20 team since Min Terrible instincts very apparent watching live Our penalty killers don’t move. It literally doesn’t matter who’s out there.

@palffynyi16 He is far from being overrated. Most people dont know he exists. But he is sound defensively and actually has grown since early years. Hes coach able and now goes to the boards. Hes young/talented enough that his game can grow. Hes been great on lackluster roster.

@craig_kiger As for top 5 players Sorokin, Barzal, Horvat, Schaefer and Pelech are far superior than the rest of the roster Ritchie is already better than him. Lee is more valuable and scores big goals. Deangelo has been far more important. So yeah can’t agree

@palffynyi16 Man, I see eye to eye pretty much with gou but the Holmy hate I cant get on board with. With this current roster, under this coach. Under this gm, supporting cast and crew, he is easily top 6, if not top 5, most important players this team has.

@craig_kiger I can write a book on his play He was god awful vs Pitt Most of his goals are breakaways+against bottom feeders. Big games he disappears His instincts are awful. Live it’s very noticeable. Since the Wild game 1/10 he has 1 goal in regulation vs a top 20 team (29 gms)

@palffynyi16 Agreed. But they’re not burying Ritchie, which is what I was replying to. He’s still the 2C of the future. As much as I’m not thrilled with Darche so far, center depth is not a bad thing. I can live with these two in the bottom 6 til Nelson and Bednarik develop.
