@ChoosySusy @Pret I’m saddened and disappointed, Pret, that you haven’t kept your promise to chickens. I’ll be taking a break, and getting my coffee elsewhere until you keep your word!

Hi @Pret,
Beyond disappointing that you chose to break your promise to maintain *the most basic* welfare standards for the Frankenchickens suffering in your supply chain.
I’ll be taking a break, getting coffee & food elsewhere until you keep your word.
Goodbye berry croissant 🥺

Animals are not ours to use and abuse EVER! 🚫
Is this a sin or a virtue? I don't think making a speechless animal suffer for a religious pilgrimage will yield any reward or make God happy. How will this voiceless creature climb the nearly 18 km of difficult terrain to Kedarnath, with low oxygen, rain, snow, etc., while carrying a 120 kg person? How much pain will it endure?
I would call this hypocrisy, not religion. In the true sense, religion or virtue means not becoming the cause of someone's suffering.

Tourists ~ #DontBuyATicket EVER! Here's why....
Amidst congested traffic, scorching heat, blaring horns, and thick exhaust fumes, Elephants walk in a line through the chaos.
Every morning, from Hatigon Village to Amber Fort in Jaipur, these Elephants travel nearly 3 kilometers only to begin a day of carrying tourists up the hill. By evening, they walk the same distance back.
A journey of at least 6 kilometers every day.
On hard and hot ground of the roads.
Under extreme conditions.
For tourists, the ride may feel exciting and an unforgettable view of a historic place.
But behind that experience is a life of exhaustion, routine, and silent suffering.
How many people have followed the full journey these Elephants endure before and after the ride?
Too often, we see only our experience and not the cost to another life.
True travel should never come at the expense of another being. The most meaningful tourism is responsible tourism guided by compassion, awareness, and respect.
If you love Elephants, please do not support Elephant riding or any form of exploitation.
Let Elephants be Elephants. ❤️

🚨 BEWARE: Dog Groomer caught injuring a dog on pet owners door cam.
The groomer is from Perry’s Pets mobile dog and cat grooming in Lake Elsinore California.
"The dog has had a hip replacement that the groomer was made aware of!
When the groomer returned the dog she kneed the dog into the front door for no reason!!!"
Why do people liken this work with animals? 😡

In Norway, it’s illegal to keep dogs on chains. Do you believe this should be the law everywhere?
No dog should spend their life tied to a post, freezing in the snow, watching the world from the end of a chain. Dogs need warmth, freedom, safety, shelter, and a family who sees them as more than property.
Every dog lover, pet parent, rescue supporter, shelter volunteer, vet nurse, stray feeder, and animal welfare advocate knows a chain is not a home.
A loyal dog deserves a couch, a warm bed, a full bowl, and someone who loves them enough to let them live.

They need to outlaw this. Horse on hot concrete are a bad mix. Where are all the animal rights activists? Oh I forgot it’s New York.

There was a homeless man who 'camped' in the covered garage where my office was located. You'd see him huddle down for the night, along with his little dog, a small scruffy little terrier mix. When I walked thru the garage on my way to lunch, I would often check to see where he was and then bring him a burger and drink. He always tore the sandwich in half, ate one half and gave the other to his dog. I started bringing him a bag of dry dog food every month and he took great pains to keep it dry. His little dog rode in the child's seat in the grocery cart wherever he went.
One especially cold winter morning, I noticed his dog was missing and he seemed utterly forlorn. I bought him some coffee and he explained how the city rounded up the homeless and took them to the shelter because it was bitterly cold and they took his dog away from him. They took her to the local shelter (no license, no tags, no rabies vaccination). I was appalled.
I took the morning off, picked him up from the garage & drove him to the shelter where we asked to look for his 'lost' dog. When we found her, she put up such a racket of pure joy upon seeing him: yipping, yelping, wiggling uncontrollably. Paws squeezed between chain link trying to touch her master and his fingers stroking her little face.
I paid for her license, basic shots and retrieval fee and he rode back in silence hugging her so tight, I thought he would break her. When we got out, I told him to keep her safe. He hugged me, made Sasha give me a smooch of thanks, and hurried off to where he'd hidden his cart.
I understand the need to keep these souls safe but taking his one undeniable friend -- while legally founded -- was gut wrenchingly wrong on so many other levels.
Any act of kindness can change lives….no matter how great or small.
