@USWeatherExpert Agree. I am just east of Raytown, south of 40 Hwy and the sirens have been non-stop last 10 minutes.

My daughter, visiting a friend, tells me the sirens are going off at the indicated location ... for a tornado 25 miles to the northeast and moving away from them. This is a ridiculous false alarm and hurts the credibility of the warning system.

With regard to Venezuela, my read of the Constitution is that if the President feels the need to put boots on the ground there in the future, Congress would need to vote on it. That’s why I voted yes on this morning’s Senate resolution.

Right wing in shambles. Charlie Kirk has been shot. And the shooter wasn't black, trans, or a leftist, but a white male Republican. I don't mean to make light of this and hope that Charlie is ok, but you can't make this stuff up.

Heads Up #KansasCity motorists. In spite of what some of the electronic road signs in Johnson Co. have been saying, there is NO winter storm warning nor even a winter storm watch in effect at this time. It is entirely possible they will be issued but none is in effect as of 2:20pm. I really wish non-meteorologists would quit trying to forecast and warn of storms. #KCwx
