Senator Thune is playing THE GAME. He will NOT pass the Save Act. Instead, he will create the illusion that Senate republicans support it, but that the big bad democrats blocked its passage. The reality is that he doesn’t need to nuke the filibuster, just require that the dems actually maintain the floor and speak until they can’t speak any longer, and then hold the vote. He is playing THE GAME despite the fact that something like 75% of ALL voters support it. He and his fellow conspirators, our representatives in name only, do not respect the will of the people. To be honest, I am starting to wonder where Trump is on all of this. As someone who rightfully complains about corrupt elections, his lack of interest gives me reason to pause and wonder WTF is going on. Having said that and given all that he has accomplished, I still give him the benefit of the doubt. However, for the future of our republic, fair and safe elections, is non-negotiable. I hope he knows what he is doing, and is not being manipulated by deep staters in his administration.

Depending upon how it’s charged in the end this could be a felony, which would probably give the eagles some options. Having said that, if I were running the show… -lay down the law in no uncertain terms, this is unacceptable -force him to go through some serious counseling to include not only the stupidity of what he did, but some career and financial advice. Yes, he was a first rounder and presently a millionaire, but dude had like 3 sacks last year and is now probably #3 on the depth chart. He hasn’t proven anything as player (despite the obvious potential). NFL = Not For Long, for many a first rounder. -sit him down with DeVonta Smith, to discuss the Henry Ruggs career path, that fell apart.

I’ve been very critical of professional athletes for driving recklessly in the past and there is no excuse for what Nolan Smith Jr. did. It’s idiotic to drive at such ridiculous speeds and endanger the lives of yourself and others. With that being said, it’s fair to wonder if Smith’s arrest could void the guaranteed money on the fifth-year option of his contract in 2027 that the Eagles previously picked up last month.

This is easily, the worst, least productive, impotent, RINO’ish republican senate that I can remember in my lifetime. You can’t get presidential nominees approved. You can’t even pass the Save America Act which is supported by ~80% of the populations. Why are you so inept at accomplishing meaningful things for we the people, yet never miss a days vacation or lobbiest dinner party, while always using “process” and “rules” as an excuse when…. YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE process AND rules?

You are right on point. Thank you for everything you do! The only thing I would add is it’s not only K street that Thune answers to, but also a group of RINOs who hide behind Thune’s process smokescreen, and support Thune’s position of power. A real talking filibuster, followed by a vote will force these RINOs into the light where they will either be forced to support the Save America Act, or be exposed as the lying traitors they are. Failure to pass the Save America Act is not an indictment of a few, but an indictment of EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN SENATOR. It’s an 80-20 issue, either pass it as a party or fail as party. The Republican Party is not a party made up of good and bad republicans, but a PARTY that is impotent, ineffective and should to a person resign.

Hello Senator Thune, Let's expose what you're really doing with "reconciliation." You announced it yesterday, eleven months after the House passed the SAVE America Act. You're not trying to pass this bill. You're trying to kill it in a way you can blame on process. Here's how we know: Reconciliation requires the Senate parliamentarian to rule that provisions are "budgetary." Citizenship verification is not budgetary. Photo ID mandates are not budgetary. The parliamentarian will gut the bill. Then you'll shrug and say "we tried." We see through you. Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work: Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill. Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results. Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess. Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate. You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months. Now let's talk donors: • Goldman Sachs: $150K to you - top H-1B user • Google: $75K - lobbies against E-Verify • Meta: $72.5K - Zuckerberg's FWD[.]us pushes mass immigration • Wells Fargo: $90K - banks undocumented immigrants Same corporations sponsor Punchbowl News, where you sit for "Fly Out Days" which nobody watches except Congress staffers and K Street lobbyists who pays premium bucks for legislative intelligence. Their reporter then telegraphs to the audience the SAVE Act "will ultimately fail." Corporate money flows to you AND to the outlet that frames your inaction as inevitable. We see the loop. You called grassroots anger a "paid influencer ecosystem." YOU are the paid influencer. You take the wrong side of a 80% issue because you are indistinguishable from a K Street mouthpiece, and an ineffective one to boot who won't bend the rules to get anything passed. What we want: 1. Force a real talking filibuster. 2. Stop hiding behind process. 3. Pass the SAVE America Act. YOU will become the reason that we will have our butts kicked in midterms. Not Candace Owens, not Nick Fuentes, not anyone else. You and you alone, and all because you want to make the 200 or so viewers of Punchbowl Fly Out Days happy. You're living in a K Street information bubble, addicted to the comforts and praises of lobbyists masquerading as journalists. You mistake the steak and martini dinners you get invited to as your own constituents. You are not "moderate." The SAVE America Act has 98% support among Republicans. Name one other thing that has 98% support. You are an extreme minority who prides himself on being a calm leader, when in reality you are well in the running for the most ineffective Majority leader of all time. Prove me wrong. Do the bare modicum of effort. Not symbolic. Actual effort. Cancel the recess. Get SAVE America Act passed.

Iran is a terrorist state, or at the very least a state sponsor of terrorism. They are NOT rational actors on the world stage. Countries with nukes act rationally, meaning they understand the concept of “mutually assured destruction”. A country that promotes jihad, martyrdom and advocates the annihalation of Israel and chants “death to America”, like Iran would likely use a nuke to attack their enemy, even if that meant that their entire country would be turned to glass for doing so. Countries like the US, Russia and China understand the consequences and therefore act rationally. Even Kim Jung Un is rational compared to the Mullahs. As for who gets to decide, in this particular case the US.

I think the optionality to use it or not is good for building a roster. For instance, Eagles used 5th year option on Jordan Davis, he played year 4, really showed development and then re-signed before the 5th year kicked in. If not optioned, he could have walked as FA. Nolan Smith is going to be a similar example. May (or may not) get the 5th year option. He’ll play year 4 with or without the 5th year option. The difference will be, whether he is a FA or not after. If they use the 5th year and he balls out, they’ll try to resign before year 5, if he sucks, they’ll be stuck paying him in year 5, but can then let him walk. If they don’t option him, and he balls out, or sucks, he’s a FA regardless. The optionality, allows a team to do their evaluation, and decide if they want to give a once promising player another year to develop, or cut bait sooner.

@fellure_jacob @paradigmshift05 @HaydenWinks Yeah the 5th year option rate has really fallen post 2020 CBA (and the below chart even includes guys who signed market extensions as counting towards option pickup). As you said too, position matters, as does pick #. But overall, it's not much of a selling point these days

@grok, Ok, between 11:18am and 11:23am (5 min before) what was the largest spike in futures bought. BTW - please check the time of 11:23am March 23, 2026, as this makes no sense with regards to what is claimed, since future prices were already way up pre-market and at the 9:30am open.

@J03850 @unusual_whales Trump's announcement (via Truth Social) to postpone strikes on Iranian power plants/energy infrastructure for 5 days was posted at 11:23 AM ET on March 23, 2026. He later referenced "productive conversations" during a Memphis event. Iran denies talks occurred.

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

Yes, verified via futures data from Unusual Whales, Kobeissi Letter & market reports. At ~6:50 AM ET (5 min before Trump's Truth Social post), $1.5B notional ES futures bought & $192M CL sold—4-6x normal size. Trump announced 5-day pause on Iran power plant strikes citing "productive talks." S&P futures surged 2%+, oil dropped; that trade gained ~$60M quickly. Iran later denied talks, but the market moves & timing hold.

In order for the Eagles to ever entertain trading A.J. Brown to the Rams, it would absolutely require premium assets in return. The 13th overall pick would certainly meet that criteria and is significantly more valuable than the 31st overall pick that the Patriots could provide.

🚨America Just Changed the Economics of War… With Light For years Iran built a strategy around one brutal equation. Launch thousands of cheap drones. Force the defender to burn through million-dollar interceptors. Bleed the defense dry. It was simple math. A Shahed drone costs roughly $30,000. Stopping it with traditional missile defenses can cost hundreds of thousands… sometimes over a million dollars per intercept. Repeat that attack a thousand times and suddenly the defender is spending billions just to stay alive. Iran understood this. They designed an entire doctrine around it. Flood the sky with cheap weapons. Overwhelm air defenses. Make defense more expensive than offense. But something just changed. The United States Navy has now deployed HELIOS, a directed-energy weapon mounted on an American destroyer operating near Iran. HELIOS is not a missile. It is a laser. And it runs on something every warship already produces… Electricity. No missile to reload. No magazine to empty. No resupply ship needed. As long as the ship’s generators are producing power, the weapon keeps firing. That means the cost of stopping a drone is no longer measured in missiles. It is measured in electricity. In practical terms… Destroying a $30,000 drone can now cost less than the power bill of a large apartment building. That single change breaks the entire economic foundation of drone saturation warfare. For years Iran invested in the strategy that made Shahed drones valuable. Cheap. Numerous. Disposable. But if directed-energy weapons like HELIOS can burn drones out of the sky at near-zero cost… The math flips. Suddenly the attacker is spending money… while the defender spends almost nothing. CENTCOM has already released footage showing HELIOS mounted on a U.S. Navy destroyer in waters near Iran. Earlier tests confirmed the system successfully destroyed multiple drones during live trials. Now the system is deployed where hundreds of Iranian drones and missiles have been passing through the same airspace. This is not a laboratory experiment anymore. This is a real battlefield. And the world is about to find out whether the future of missile defense is not another interceptor… But a beam of light. Because when America decides to change the physics of war… It usually succeeds. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove

This is definitely the way to go, and we apparently are testing the first generation against Iran. The future is likely to see more advances deployed at scale. Think, more powerful pulsed systems, mounted on ships with nuclear power generation. Deployed on land as well, with small modular reactors on a truck bed. Once perfected, missiles even hyper-sonic would be no match versus a high energy pulse traveling at the speed of light.

No! I’m not trading A.J. and a second for Max Crosby. If A.J. gets traded it will be for at least a 1st and 2nd…maybe more or not at all. The driver here, is not whether it’s fair, but instead the Eagles need to save $ to sign Davis, Carter, DeJean and Mitchell (maybe Smith) over the next couple of years, while adding talent that is cost controlled over the next 4-5 years.

Today we will see Trump explode! Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez has openly confronted Trump after the latter announced yesterday that he would sever trade relations with Spain. In his speech, he criticized Trump for his decision to start a war, emphasizing that his country does not support it and, above all, adheres to the principles of international law. He also pointed out that 23 years ago, there was already a major war in the Middle East in Iraq, which had devastating consequences, including increased migration and a rise in international Islamic terrorism. "Spain opposes this catastrophe. Because we understand that governments are there to improve people's lives, to solve problems, not to worsen them. And it is absolutely unacceptable that leaders who are incapable of fulfilling this task use the smokescreen of war to mask their incompetence and line the pockets of a select few." Sánchez concluded his speech by declaring that his country would not be complicit in anything that contradicts its values simply because of "fear of reprisals from some individuals," and that he had confidence in "Spain's economic, institutional, and moral strength."
