@itsnashflynn You know those display racks in stores that spin and have stuff dangling from them? I'm terrified that I'm going to walk into one and and get my eyes stabbed out
English

@pcnnmvideos @amiiboAlerts a whole thread and an exclaim that he's better at pokémon cards than you 😂😂 clearly pushed his buttons by minding your own business and tweeting about your cards
English

@amiiboAlerts Yeah, I remember Mariotehplumber. In fact, he actually commented on my Pokémon cards the other day. This guy is gonna be 35 this year….ouch.

@FrancineHibiscs don't forget that once you're an old biddy, you're suddenly a baby again and don't get to have fun unless all of the grownups have adequately baby proofed the area and ushered you there themselves

I’m sorry, call me a grinch, whatever. But those ladies in the Amazon commercial SHOULD NOT BE SLEDDING. It’s a cute sentiment & all but HELMETS DON’T PROTECT HIPS.

@Majora__Z @YangYanZhao4 @fasc1nate they did say they weren't trying to imply there was a connection

Most xolo dogs/the god Xolotl look like hairless chihuahuas, NOT like Anubis (who is Jackal, which look even less like Xolos).
Dogs are companions, so it makes sense many cultures would have Canines as spiritual companions too.
The Aztec don't exist till millennia AFTER Egypt: Ancient Egypt becomes a thing around 4000-3000BC, the Aztec don't become a thing till 5000 years later around 1200AD.
There are older Mesoamerican civilizations before the Aztec, but the earliest, the Olmec, is still only a thing as of 1400BC, many thousands of years after Egypt, and earlier Coyote gods look even less anubis-esque.
Lastly, Anubis also isn't even a guide in/to the underworld like Xolotl; Anubis judges souls. So they don't have the same role.
In short, the animals and gods don't look alike (OP's pic is just an outlier), the role Xolos/Xolotl have reflects universal traits all dogs do, and Anubis doesn't even have the same role; AND the time period doesn't match up. There's no connection.

The Xoloitzcuintle, an Aztec dog breed indigenous to Mexico, is among the oldest known canine breeds, with a history spanning over 7000 years.
For the Aztecs, this dog held significant respect and importance, as they believed it was a divine gift from the god Xolotl.
The Xoloitzcuintle was revered for its role as a spiritual guide for the souls of the deceased on their journey to Mictlán, the underworld.

@ClintWeavil @Kissmyazz24 @supersexys3v3n *sucks teeth* sounds doubtful your life has any meaning or purpose in it then
English

@Kissmyazz24 @supersexys3v3n You're not equal though and you know this. Society is built by men, sustained by men, and without them it would crumble. However, women give life meaning and purpose. If men didn't want women to have power they could very easily take it. Misunderstand this at your peril.
