I like distortion when it’s being used like Sonic Youth or Jesus and Mary Chain or My Bloody Valentine but in metal it just feels overdone to where all the guitar sounds the same and the riffs lose their impact for me.

I like all music and it's usually possible to find gems even in the most hated of genres, but I gotta say that electro swing and bro-country are mostly filled with unlistenable slop
