A thread on @BlumeVentures #IndusValley Report, Highlighting some of the mind blowing facts about India’s Unique Stance in the World (1/5) India is infamous for one of the least GDP per Capita in the world (Rank: 149th rank, less than $3k) but is it the same with “India1?”

We've been saying it for weeks. Stock prices and bond yields can't keep rising together. Eventually one of them breaks. Don't take our word for it. Let's validate it with 40 years of market data. The S&P is at all-time highs. The 10-year yield is pushing toward 5%. Both moving up, simultaneously. And everyone seems fine with it. They shouldn't be. Because over the last 40 years, every single bond bear market ended with turmoil in the economy or financial markets. Every one. No exceptions. Here's the full breakdown. 🧵 #Stocks #Bonds #Markets

Nvidia reported earnings and most people looked at the stock price and moved on. The supply chain told a completely different story. A $7.8M rack. Memory going from afterthought to a quarter of the cost. PCB content tripling. Every component repricing higher. And the companies assembling it all earning more dollars on thinner margins. The AI trade is getting more expensive, more complex, and more distributed. The GPU is still the centre. But the ecosystem around it is where the growth is compounding. Source: Morgan Stanley, Howard Kao, Thanks @zerohedge for the insightful report Follow @parthkhannax for clear breakdowns on finance, investing, and everything moving markets. No fluff. Just the stuff that helps you think sharper. #AIInvesting #Markets

Now the part worth watching carefully. The ODMs (think Wistron, Quanta, Hon Hai) are the factories that assemble all of this. Market assumed their slice would shrink as rack designs got standardised. Morgan Stanley says the opposite: ODM value-added is up 35-40%. But gross margins went from 2.7% on the current rack to 1.9% on Rubin. Morgan Stanley says "focus on absolute dollar profitability." Sure. A thinner margin on $7.8M still pays more than a fatter one on $4M. That math works in a bull market. In a downturn, margin compression plus ballooning working capital is how companies get squeezed. Keep that in mind. #ODM #Manufacturing

$7.8 million. That's what a single Nvidia server rack is about to cost. (THREAD) The current one? $4 million. So we're looking at a near doubling in rack price for Nvidia's next-gen Vera Rubin platform. Nvidia's stock barely moved on earnings. Down 2%, everyone yawned. But memory stocks? Up 6-10% in a day. Because Morgan Stanley just showed where the real money in this rack is flowing. And it's not where most people think. Here is everything you need to know. #Nvidia #AI #Investing

Great breakdown & all due credits to @zerohedge — one of the best sources out there for the macro and market structure stuff most people never see. If you want to peel the onion on finance, investing, and what's actually moving markets, please follow me at @Parthkhannax.

Here's why this matters beyond quant desks. Goldman made it explicit: the momentum trade is the AI trade. And the AI trade is the market. The current Momentum factor composition is effectively a mirror of the AI trade — same names, same thesis, same crowding. So a momentum unwind isn't a rotation. It's a de-rating of the thing holding the whole index up. Morgan Stanley's sentiment index (MSI) just flipped negative. "Stretched but reversing." The dopamine hit was real. The unwind probably isn't finished.

US Stocks got their dopamine hit yesterday. Bulls are already printing "bottom confirmed." Goldman and Morgan Stanley have a message: momentum unwinds historically last weeks, not days. And since momentum basically IS the AI trade — this isn't a niche quant story. It's a whole-market problem. 🧵 Break it down ↓

Hiring in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 for my Startups Applied AI team at @OpenAI. Apply below to help shape the future of AI 🤖 Current team is full of ex-founder/CTOs, some have AI PHDs, others have been research engineers, data scientists & ML Engineers. Combined with working with frontier startups, it's a pretty incredible role. As a founder I saw first-hand the incredible Australian startup ecosystem, from world class startups & talent to incredible investors, and I’m excited to be working with the ecosystem again. (Also because it means I’ll get to take a trip over some point soon… perhaps mysteriously coinciding with British winter...)
