Ileal CD - harder to treat - interesting @AGA_CGH @AmerGastroAssn study: ▶️proximal ileitis > TI ulcers ▶️48% had strictures at entry = already advanced 🔸seems unusual, either I don’t look, or we detect earlier. 🫣VDZ = UST for ileitis (Fig 3D)?!? cghjournal.org/article/S1542-…

This and much more in the publication 📌 Take-home message: Corticosteroid response in UC is a dynamic but partially predictable phenomenon 🩺 A patient’s previous steroid response contains valuable prognostic information and should inform escalation decisions in future flares. academic.oup.com/ibdjournal/adv…

One of the most important skills in IBD care is knowing when a side effect is real, rare, and reversible, and explaining that clearly to patients. Anti-TNF–induced lupus is uncommon, but when it happens, it can be alarming for patients. The reassuring part is that it is usually drug-related, not lifelong lupus, and symptoms often resolve once the medication is stopped. This is where careful listening, pattern recognition, and shared decision-making really matter. Our goal is not just disease control, it’s helping patients feel informed, safe, and supported when unexpected issues arise. linkedin.com/posts/ibd-libr…
