@RRR0BYN It is this and multiple kids that finally had me give into my wife and get a king sized bed. My poor dogs got kicked out though.

It turns out the decades old legal process for separation referendums doesn't apply because "first nations". "The Sovereign is he who decides the exception" - Carl Schmit
Rebel News@RebelNewsOnline

Mark Carney reacts to Alberta independence advocates submitting over 300,000 petition signatures calling for a province-wide referendum on independence. The prime minister shuts down the idea, citing the "rule of law" and an ongoing judicial challenge from First Nations groups.

NVIDIA JUST TURNED YOUR HOUSE INTO A DATA CENTER Nvidia, PulteGroup, and Span are installing mini data centers on the walls of new homes. Each unit: 16 Blackwell GPUs, 4 AMD EPYC CPUs, 3TB of RAM - powered by your unused home electricity. You get: discounted power bills, free battery backup, optional solar. They get: distributed AI compute at 5x lower cost than a traditional data center - deployed 6x faster. This is the biggest shift in AI infrastructure since the cloud.

@RRutilius753 @ChristianHeiens You're assuming the current global trade system is sustainable. Trump is showing the world that is not the case. The US cannot sustain it's military production and have the US dollar system.

@ChristianHeiens I doubt it. There's not really a viable replacement. (E.g., talk of the yuan, which is governed by currency controls in a closed system, is ludicrous at this point in time.)

At the start of this century, the Dollar accounted for 70% of all foreign exchange reserves. Today it’s 56.7%. All this hyperbolic talk of a rapid Dollar collapse is based far more on noise rather than signal, but that doesn’t change the fact that global dedollarization is a real thing that’s happening, even if it unfolds slowly over time. And it’ll continue to happen. This process isn’t going to stop, if for no other reason than the fact that the status quo cannot continue indefinitely. The Federal government wants to run massive deficits, preserve its global military hegemony, weaponize the Dollar system against its enemies, and continue importing physical goods in exchange for IOUs while auctioning off the remaining productive assets in the country to pay for things we otherwise could never afford, all while expecting the rest of the world to continue holding Treasuries as the neutral reserve asset forever. You can keep that shell game going for a long LONG time, but it will come to an end. It’s quite likely the endgame won’t be something that makes the news because it won’t happen all at once in dramatic fashion, but it will come all the same.

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My third collection of poems, Tacoma, will be a series of sonnets written by a divorced 45 year old man who steals his ex wife's dog and takes his 2011 single cab Tacoma on a road trip from Takoma Park to Tacoma Washington. It will drive my follower count to zero.

Every other fanbase clowning on this makes you instinctively go “ohh boy, get ready for a shocking comeback that will silence the critics, watch him assemble a depth team” but this storyline never works for the Maple Leafs. They are cursed and chances are we will look back on this as one big mistake.

🚨 Bishop Bernard Fellay of the SSPX delivered a stark warning in his April 19 homily in Kansas: “There is an enormous probability that all of you — we included of course — may be excommunicated… There is a very high probability because they already said it in public so they are forcing themselves to do it.” Yet he adds: “Whatever — God can do miracles. It’s not the end.” God wants the SSPX to remain “a sign of contradiction… the Cross.” Watch the full clip:

@RonDodson The mistake here is timescale; Can the US seriously Iran economically through a blockade - sure, on a long timescale. Imagine this is still going on in 24 months, it will certainly hurt Iran from a financial point of view, but a lot of other things will happen.....

The blockade is imposing real costs on Iran, but cost is not the same thing as leverage. Iran’s leverage is not economic, it is structural: the ability to deny or condition passage through Hormuz. And that remains intact. Iran is losing economically but still winning structurally. They have already shifted the system from: a single guarantor of passage (U.S.-led order), to: contested chokepoint with multiple veto points.
Merlijn The Trader@MerlijnTrader

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump just revealed something important. Iran approached him four days ago. "Sir, Iran wants to open the Strait. Immediately." Iran is losing $500,000,000 per day. They want to save face. Not fight. But Trump said no deal unless the terms are total. "Blow up the rest of their country. Their leaders included." Iran has no leverage left. The blockade is working. The most dangerous moment in a negotiation is when one side has nothing left to lose. Iran is getting there fast.
