Churches who do this are lame. You don't need a rest from church. You need a rest from your own work and from the world. Church is a joy, not a chore.

Tony Evans is one of the first megachurch pastors and public celebrity preachers to be disqualified where no one has any idea what he did. Not even a suggestion, other than it wasn't criminal. Was it because he fathered four children with three different women over the course of the last two decades, visiting his secret families whenever he was on ministry trips? Was Tony Evans disqualified from the ministry because he had a booze problem? Was it something to do with finances? Did he push a crypto scam on the wrong people? We have no idea and neither do you. No one does, by design. But he's been restored without a single detail so you should buy his books again and pay hundreds of dollars to hear him preach at conferences!
