There are but two ways I see the status quo changing. One is a massive uprising by a majority of the ISD’s to stop the insanity. Two, a change in leadership at the top in November. Abbott’s relentless obsession with privatization, along with his Commissioner’s focus on judging schools worthiness by their testing outcomes, could very well turn Texas Blue.

The #txlege and @teainfo appear out of alignment. The #txlege promotes parent satisfaction as highest level of accountability while TEA keeps working on new ways to grade schools and take districts over based on ratings without regard to parent satisfaction. How can we fix this?

The message from Austin couldn’t be clearer: you’re allowed to vote, as long as you don’t threaten the incumbent. The turnout has them panicking. That's why you've seen them pull out the stops for Greg last minute. GOP early voting is nearly double (numbers we pull from each county) that of previous turnout by this same historical stage in voting. FYI-Greg is not getting double turnout votes from his previous years...
