@tesla_raj I prefer to look at it as.... Our OG 3s (mine also early-ish vin at 293xx) have aged like fine wine and with FSD locked in, provides a resale "advantage" at some point down the line if HW5 ever does end up being retrofitted to us.

This is the sign that FSD on HW3 is officially dead IMO. By doing this and preventing HW3 cars from buying it outright, it limits their legal exposure if they don’t end up upgrading them. A subscription carries no obligation beyond current abilities.
