@HVSBanwait @patialablue Would you happen to have his photo with Dr. Manmohan Singh? I believe I saw it somewhere, very briefly, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere since Hopefully not a false memory😅

BEFORE SLEEPING KNOW THIS... FOR 15 YEARS, while most people escaped the summer heat, Harpal Singh Pali drove a tractor-tanker deep into the burning Shivalik Hills every alternate day carrying WATER for wild animals. As lakes dried and forests cracked under extreme heat, deer, wild boars, blue bulls, and peacocks began waiting for one sound — the arrival of his tractor. Using his OWN MONEY, without donations or government support, Pali created and refilled 25 water holes across nearly 5 kilometres of forest so animals would not enter villages searching for water. Fuel prices increased. Maintenance costs rose. Still, he never stopped. He even dedicates 10% of his income to wildlife welfare.

God did justice to Moosewala by gifting him death when he was at his peak. The world never saw his downfall and never will. A real one.

@saffrontrail Whoa! Awesome, that’s huge! I used to do 5 almost every day going to office instead of waiting for rush hour elevator. That’s my personal best. Dad was an elevator engineer so no floor was too high for him!

5 floors used to be my limit. Yesterday I climbed 20. I have been lifting heavy at the gym for 2.5 years, but cardio never appealed to me. Since January, I added inclined treadmill walks to my strength sessions. But climbing stairs was always my nemesis. Four or five floors I could manage. Anything beyond that, I felt convinced that I could not do. A few days ago, stepping out of the lift onto our terrace, I saw a neighbour, older than me, walking up 19 floors. When I ran into her again, I asked how she did it. She had three tips for me. 1. Climb slowly. It isn't a race. 2.Don't look at what floor you are on. 3. Keep your mind distracted. Podcast, audiobook, music. I asked if I should build up to 20 gradually. She said no. Do all 20 the next time. Take breaks on each landing if you need to, a few seconds or a few minutes, but finish the stretch. I followed her advice and climbed all 20 floors to the terrace. This was such a high - the fact that I did something I had always thought I could not do. I did it again yesterday on a work call, and it felt much easier than the first time. Strange how my own head had me convinced I couldn't do this. Seeing someone else do it with ease is all it took to undo that.

Tejas Networks is a much better proxy for AI than all the nonsense cable and wire companies going up. Even if AI fizzles out, it has decent prospects in the medium term. Disclosure: Own no reco DYOR

It’s our Wedding Anniversary again, Aaron. The most bitter 🥀 of sweet memories. The gaping hole in my heart, and my inability to heal, is my penance for failing us. 20 years after we met. 17 years after we married. 6 years after you died, and I mourn by your graveside. Xx
