@ThinkNewTwist @TedUrchin You missed my point about the phrase. They make it sound like you aren’t free to move around. Not move house or job. You can move around which is awesome and I think we should keep that generally

Freedom of movement. Do you remember that? The time when we could all choose to live and work in the EU as easily in Berlin as Brighton, Paris or Plymouth, Madrid as Manchester, Lisbon or London. The old and the stupid stole this from us, and particularly from the young of the nation. I will never ever forgive them. #RejoinEU

@anomalousteacup @SaulStaniforth I appreciate how polite you are. I respect you for that. Unfortunately I disagree with too many policies but of course I would like poor people to be richer. And if we could reduce homelessness dramatically I would be happy to help.

@PatrickHenry @SaulStaniforth Can’t remember if there’s a specific policy on employers’ national insurance, but I do agree that the recent Labour hike was stupid beyond words. That said, if you agree with their goals, you could always become a member and work with the relevant policy groups on the detail.

Intention and ability are two completely different things. You can look at California as a great example. It’s not possible and I sponsor homeless charities and they will freely admit it. Better pay is a great idea. What you should do is stop taxing companies so much for hiring people. I pay my staff their wage and then 13%~15% on top to the government. That is horrendous in my eyes. So if they support abolishing that tax I’m all for it.

@PatrickHenry @SaulStaniforth Actually, I’m pretty sure they do intend to solve homelessness too. The pony might be a stretch. But, once everyone’s pay is better, maybe a livery charges will be more affordable.

British patriots threaten, bully and intimidate a Muslim asylum seeker from returning to his accommodation at a hotel. They demand he “Turn around now.” The frightened young man walks away, wandering the streets. Disgusting and unacceptable behaviour. Enough is enough.

@owenjonesjourno @AyoCaesar The bond market is extremely important when people like yourselves decide to borrow so much money. But, don’t let facts get in the way of a good argument.

If your only metric is the bond markets: Why not abolish democracy and put JP Morgan in charge? Spot on from @ayocaesar

@SaulStaniforth Vote Green, people. Child poverty is unacceptable in any society, especially a society as with as much wealth as ours has.

The wealth of Britain’s 157 billionaires is now equal to 22% of the country’s GDP. Disgraceful system.

Why are investment bankers living in two up two downs in South London that were built for manual labourers? Because we haven’t built enough luxury housing. When we don’t build luxury homes, the houses that used to be for the everyman become the preserve of the elite. And everyone else moves *down* the chain. By building luxury homes we can move everyone *up* that chain.
Britain Remade@BritainRemade

Building "luxury flats" actually makes housing more affordable for everyone. It's an effect shown in studies around the world. The chains created by people moving into high end properties free up homes all the way down the ladder.

@dave43law Dumb is a harsh word. Some people have low iq and they will find it more difficult to get basic low skilled jobs. But I don’t think we should have a go at them for having low IQ

@garyseconomics Brilliant Gary. I always appreciate your wide perspective. I think one big problem is degree to which far right is know to not engage with facts only hyperbole & we can’t mend that. It’s taken lifelong conditioning to create that. People who seek wider truth become lefties 💯

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Cycling is booming in London with more people choosing a green, clean, healthy & affordable way of getting around. We're expanding LDN's Cycleway network to make cycling easier & safer. Great to see progress on the new Cycleway 4 extension in Greenwich. @Royal_Greenwich @TfL
