I built and manufactured a 40m EFHW spool antenna from scratch with my 3D printer. Finally got a chance to air it out at the lake and it worked great. 27 QSOs in an hour or two. #hamradio

Tried out the new setup. Xeigu G90, Buddipole Pro, and 10Ah battery. Unable to break through any of the POTA pileups here from the side yard. Should work better calling CQ from the park tomorrow.

Got CAT control and DAX streaming working on SmartSDR Mac tonight with the BlackHole driver. Nicer setup than I thought it would be. Less apps to manage then Windows, but still have to deal with gain staging "fun". Still have a love/hate relationship with SmartSDR.

It was really difficult but I finally had a successful FT8 QSO to Central Africa, as well as a new island in Antarctica. I learned a lot more about physics and RF theory to make this happen. #hamradio

Filed a bug report for SmartSDR for Mac. The Enter Frequency keyboard shortcut only works 2 out of 10 times due to focus issues. Crossing my fingers that it gets fixed. #flexradio #hamradio
