@classicfilmgeek To be fair, people still use them but it’s effectively a dead format. Every now and then, there’s extra scenes or special features on a laserdisc though!

@patty__mac Literally never seen or heard of one! I’m kind of surprised it was even a thing. Even VCRs seem better for storage and existed around the same time right?

Today I embarrassed myself and learned something new in Amoeba by attempting to buy a huge stack of Old Hollywood Laserdiscs like this thinking they were soundtrack vinyl.
I did not even know what a Laserdisc was until today! 😂😂😂

So Disney puts The Brave Little Toaster on D+. And it's the Laser disc copy. Clearly they have no HD master of the movie. But a while back a german fan got a hold of a print. He put it up on youtube raw. It's not in great shape. But I love to take a crack at cleaning it up.

Idk what it is but have been having a really hard grief week. I just really miss my dad. It feels silly to keep crying about it bc that won’t bring him back, but I’m trying to remember Jesus stopped to grieve death too.

My oldest brother’s birthday is today and we’re also coming up on two years sober for him. I am grateful for how much he has always loved me. I am grateful to have been trusted on his sobriety journey and that experience also really changed me. I love him.

Pull up to Wawa just now. No one is out there. Lady in car next to me makes eye contact. She goes inside to get a gas attendant. I do it myself. Fave part was gas guy running out to me “to see if I’m okay”.
