GSTR9 and GSTR9C are just repetitive rituals, there is literally no benefit available to the taxpayers Post 30-11-2025, they can't claim any ITC even on missed purchases or credit/debit notes. That this year, form requires much more information and which is more important for government level and not important for the taxpayers. Only burden is daily late fee of Rs.200 on GSTR-9 and as of now there is not late on GSTR-9C. General penalty of Rs.50000, under section 125 can be invoked only after issuing show cause notice. Today's deadline being crucial for GST officials conducting adjudication under section 73/74 and taxpayer under income tax. #extend_due_dates_immediately #GSTR9

For AY 2025–26, the original ITR due dates were extended (non-audit cases till 15 Sep 2025 and audit/corporate cases till 10 Dec 2025). But the last date for Belated/Revised ITR remains 31 Dec 2025, leaving an unusually short gap. A large no. of returns are still not processed, especially cases involving big refunds or other complications. Meanwhile, taxpayers are receiving bulk communications on mismatches / refund issues / doubts on deductions & exemptions. Many genuine errors come to light only after processing and can be corrected only through revision-rectification doesn’t cover everything!! Request: Please extend the due date for Belated/Revised ITR (u/s 139(4)/139(5)) to prevent avoidable financial loss to genuine taxpayers @IncomeTaxIndia @FinMinIndia @nsitharaman 🙏

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia Kindly Extend The Due date of Revised & Belated Returns till 31st March 2026. As You have sent majority of notices in last week of due dates and also ITR (Audit) is still Under Process. Hence, Logically Date Should be extended without any demand and delay.

The @icsi_cs has submitted a representation to @MCA21India seeking an extension of due dates for annual return filings due to persistent technical glitches. Post introduction of MCA V3, tasks that earlier took 30 minutes now consume 4 hours or more. Instead of simplifying compliance, the portal has become a challenge for professionals. We respectfully urge the MCA to grant an extension in the interest of professionals and industry. There is no intention to delay—only genuine system constraints. #MCA21 #CSTwitter #EaseOfDoingBusiness #ExtendDueDates #MCAv3

Revise Return due date should be extended till 31st March , 2026 . Looking at the situation if any mistake happens it gets difficult to correct it and ITR are processing really slow this time @IncomeTaxIndia

Message by ITPA Amritsar President, CA Gaurav Gupta ji Just now, the Honourable Punjab & Haryana High Court strongly reprimanded the counsel of CBDT for non-compliance with the extension order issued by the Honourable Gujarat High Court. The Court observed that if the due date has still not been extended, it amounts to clear contempt of the High Court’s order. The CBDT counsel attempted to seek more time by stating that the matter is currently under consideration with the CBDT Chairman. However, the Honourable Court has adjourned the hearing only till 1:45 PM today and directed the counsel to ensure that the extension order is issued by then. We sincerely hope that the matter will be resolved in favour of the taxpayers today itself and that the long-awaited extension will finally be announced.

@paulayan68 @camitmehta @taxguru_in The Gujarat High Court directed CBDT to file the compliance report by October 16, 2025. As of now, there's no public confirmation if it was submitted, and no official ITR extension to November 30 has been announced. Check incometaxindia.gov.in for updates.

BREAKING (As per sources): LIVE from Gujarat High Court — It is mandatory to maintain a 1-month gap between the ITR filing due date and the Tax Audit due date. The Court has directed CBDT to extend the timeline and issue necessary instructions. 🔥🔥 📄 Awaiting official copy of the judgment.
