@CraigNottTrots I wasn't aware of the family link, this is a blast from the past! So cool.

@AlexJDonnelly Shocking mate but also great news you caught it early. Best wishes for the road ahead and a full recovery.

@jamesaknight @JeremyGask @Trending_Horse Can’t think of any and hope there isn’t. Ripping bloke, good horse. Not many win eight!
English

Playing around with a UK racing model - and using the legend that was @JeremyGask 's @Trending_Horse as a test horse as he ran over so many different trips/tracks. Amongst his many achievements - finished in the first three 23 times from 67 runs. Won eight times at five different trips from 5f to 13f and finished in every finishing position down to 12th. Who can beat that? No-one, that's who...

@AlexJDonnelly Gutted not to be there this year. I’m def going home for it in ‘27. Can see a win in the Queen of the South?

@MichaelLynchy Thanks for sharing Lynchy, that’s a good read from @Armytage and a cool initiative.

Excellent piece by Marcus Armytage who was no mean rider himself, having won the Grand National as an amateur back when the fences were still big on Mr Frisk in 1990 How racing’s ‘Enfant Terrible’ is nurturing the next generation of top jockeys telegraph.co.uk/racing/2026/04…

@_PaulHayward Very good Paul, thanks for sharing. He’s a wonderful player, and I hope he snags something major over next few months.

A column in praise of Harry Kane, the most weirdly under-appreciated great British footballer of modern times.

@jamesaknight Good read. People might debate the individual ideas but the way this is presented, with data and clear context to the considerations/ issues/ recommendations, is a really sensible and constructive way of going about it.
English

Worth a read. Wouldn't necessarily agree with all of these proposals, but it's definitely a positive that the sport is pushing for meaningful change

@BenAsgariRacing 100%. Connections entitled to go where they want but cannot imagine having a filly this good and bypassing one of our great races (over the same track and trip). What a buzz it’d be to have her line up.
English
@AlexJDonnelly May not be better than Richmond and will find out soon enough

Fantastic read. Utterly fascinating.

Great debate on The Triple Trio about Tony Cruz and the whip. We ran the numbers. 76,612 runners. 7 seasons. Cruz's unwhipped horses win at nearly DOUBLE the rate of his whipped ones. The data may surprise you. [Written by AI · Prompted by Sohil Patel] racequant.com/my-point-of-vi…
