Hello old pals! It’s been a delightful many months of not-tweeting, really couldn’t recommend more highly, but I’ll be tweeting some fact checks during the debate. I’ll also be on CNN TV post-debate, and our team will have a detailed running fact check on the CNN site and app.

@secupp Looks like it’s getting better but where are the moderators? And it’s not about supporting any one candidate. How do the moderators let anyone so blatantly lie and not do anything?

I’ve laughed at, dismissed, and cautioned against all the “replace Biden” fever dream chatter. But if this doesn’t get better fast, that might actually come to be. Which is WILD.

@Boris_Sanchez how do you respond to people saying the site of the Titanic is a grave site & shouldn’t be disturbed? Connor: we won’t be doing just one dive, we’re going to do multiple dives. Me: So… the answer to the Q is you’re going to disturb it a lot?

@andersoncooper fact check David Urban. He just said CNN’s poll said 76% of Americans believe the indictment was politically motivated. False: CNN poll found 76% of Americans believe politics played “at least some role” in the decision to indict. Those are not the same.

@donlemon So what I’m reading is “despite all the successful strong women in my life who are an example for me, I didn’t learn anything from them, said something sexist that pissed a lot of people off again, and I regret doing that since my job is kind of based on not pissing people off.”

@donlemon gaslighting us regarding his earlier comments-trying to make it seem like he is standing up for older people and when he referred to women’s prime as 20s, 30s, and 40s, “those were not my words, those are Nikki Haley’s words” - stop! @AudieCornish you are awesome!!

@donlemon talking about #women in their “prime” now and citing “google” as a source. Don’s constant sexism: women aren’t as strong, should get paid less in sports because people prefer to watch men, & are past their prime by 50. @PoppyHarlowCNN how are you still defending him?

@kaitlancollins great interview holding Comer accountable for his blatant hypocrisy! But again @donlemon needs center stage, telling @PoppyHarlowCNN “Not moving on!” even going to far as to dictate “hold on please with the music.” It’s not the Don Show!

@AlisynCamerota, you started to ask if Walker knew he‘a running for Senate, stopped yourself, & said “of course he knows he’s running for the senate;” but does he? Does he really know he’s running for Senate or is he just doing the GOP’s bidding, without understanding?

@Sarah_J_Clemens This! Clearly it was an attempt to smooth out what happened but he just kept digging! One sport I like more than women’s soccer is misogynistic men’s digging.

@kaitlancollins & @PoppyHarlowCNN, what’s up with CNN’s Morning show? I have been trying to enjoy this but @donlemon hasn’t felt like a team player; more “I” and “me” than “us” and “we.” But the garbage about women’s sports was rough. Was that Tucker Carlson? #dobetterdon

@PoppyHarlowCNN schooling Gov Hutchinson on legal arguments and the difference between an actual ruling and mere dicta was a great way to start the morning!

@Boris_Sanchez just to clarify your comment with Jen Jordan; SCOTUS didn’t decide that the right to privacy doesn’t allow for an abortion, SCOTUS decided that there is NO right to privacy. That’s why the other rights which stem from privacy are in danger.

So during Supreme Court hearings, potential justices didn’t want to answer Qs on Roe because they “didn’t want to signal how they would rule on future cases.” But it’s totally fine for Justice Thomas to signal overturning #Griswold, #Lawrence, and #Obergefell? #RoeOverturned
