@spadjay I discovered last year that milllet khichdi (with either foxtail or barnyard millet + moong dal) is way tastier than the rice-based regular khichdi. Also, moong dal chillas / millet pulao, baked falafel. Try carrot/broccoli soups with masoor dal in place of dairy / thickener etc

@paulg :) you make it sound simple & understandably so! But the general thinking seems to be “if there was any potential at all, it would have shown up as a typical marker.” I find that we’re terrible at perceiving value unless a recognisable brand has made the value assignation first.

I'm not surprised that Modern Treasury is doing well. It's always a good sign when a group of very smart founders is super excited (don't take this the wrong way guys) to work on something that sounds boring.

When smart people get excited to work on something that sounds boring, you know they're in earnest — that they're not just doing it to seem cool. It also means that the problem they're solving has mostly been overlooked, and is thus a kind of undervalued asset.

@MohapatraHemant do you think it’s too advanced or not enough? Do check out Grade 3 math for Singapore- kids were expected to do a lot more (wrote/edited their textbooks for years). In a grade 5 book (diff market), we had the pleasure (not) of having to teach probability & stats!

@nitinsharma1 For the “how is March here already” bit, I suggest blaming it on the 2-3 missing days in Feb. ~10% of the month gone missing must surely be enough to warp the mind of a species that stares so incessantly at the calendar?

It’s 8 PM, I’ve had a long day & want dinner. Which looks like a remote possibility because my Chartered Accountant mother & my CE-specialist husband are discussing the implications of product-service models on taxation & accounting. They’ve mentioned depreciation 8 times now.
