Launching Today: WarpCore: ISO 20022 In. Kaspa Finality Out. Today we’re launching WarpCore (Phase 1) in a sandbox environment for financial institutions. WarpCore acts as a universal adapter: ISO 20022 ⇄ deterministic Kaspa logic. Banks keep their existing messaging, controls, and compliance pipelines - while settling verifiable, immutable financial events on Kaspa at incredible speed, without compromising decentralisation. Secured by Proof of Work. This is not a new rail. It’s a translation layer. Legacy systems in. Cryptographic finality out. More to come... #kaspa $kas #xrp #ada #xlm #iso20022

Let’s see if we can bring this down to earth a bit for us Commeners. 🤓 Yonatan (@hashdag ) is describing an approach for introducing smart contract programmability to Kaspa that prioritizes formal safety, deterministic execution, and measurable cost, without breaking #Kaspa’s real-time design. He points to two existing models: Cairo (Sierra bytecode) Cairo’s Sierra format enforces provable metering and execution safety. That means: - Every program’s resource usage can be proven, not estimated. - Execution can be formally verified, reducing whole classes of exploits. - Fees and constraints are predictable and enforceable at the protocol level. This makes it well-suited for a first virtual machine, because it minimizes ambiguity and attack surface compared to more permissive VMs. Solana-style programming model While Cairo handles correctness and proofs, the programming model would resemble Solana: - Programs must declare upfront which accounts they will read and write. - This enables parallel execution and conflict-free scheduling. - It fits naturally with high-throughput systems that avoid global state contention. In short, Cairo defines how safely code runs, while Solana’s model defines how efficiently state is accessed. Why this matters to Kaspa Kaspa’s core advantage is real-time decentralization and high parallelism. Naive smart contract designs often undermine that by introducing opaque execution, unpredictable fees, or global state bottlenecks. This proposal aligns programmability with Kaspa’s architecture by: - Preserving determinism and miner fairness through provable metering. - Allowing parallel execution instead of serialized contract bottlenecks. - Reducing VM risk during Kaspa’s early programmability phase. - Laying a foundation that scales without compromising decentralization. Simply put, this is about adding smart contracts without importing Ethereum’s structural problems, and doing it in a way that respects Kaspa’s performance-first design philosophy. Michael (@michaelsuttonil ) adds to Yonatan’s proposal. Michael is explaining why Cairo is unusually efficient for proofs, not just safe. In many zk systems like SP1 or RISC-V based provers, the entire program itself must be proven, which means proving costs grow with program size, even if the program barely does anything. Cairo works differently: - The program effectively defines the circuit. - You do not need to prove the program’s correctness separately. - Proving time depends mainly on what actually ran, not how large the program is. So a short execution has very low proving cost, even if the program is complex. He then makes an important architectural distinction: - This advantage is not fully used today in Cairo’s current monolithic VM setup (like SNOS). - But it can be exploited in Kaspa’s proposed vProgs model, where each program has its own dedicated covenant on L1. Why this matters This strengthens Yonatan’s direction by showing that Cairo is not just safer, but economically scalable when paired with Kaspa’s architecture. It means Kaspa could support: - Fine-grained, high-frequency verifiable programs - Low proving costs for simple executions - Programmability that scales with usage, not code size Sutton is pointing out that Cairo plus vProgs unlocks efficiency that most zk systems structurally cannot achieve, and that fits Kaspa’s real-time, parallel-first design extremely well. Cairo education but also Solana. Cairo bc its Sierra bytecode format uniquely provides provable metering and safety (in contrast to eg SP1), hence this would probably be the first instantiated VM (+Lang), but programming model would resemble Solana account model, read/write declaration etc. (this ^ following sessions had today with @michaelsuttonil @hus_qy who lead this effort)

Let’s look at this from the perspective of exchanges. Many Layer-1 chains are a nightmare to integrate: • Complex custom code • Sync times taking days, weeks, even months • TB-level server storage • Frequent node issues $XEP is different: • Bitcoin Core–based code (battle-tested & secure) • Proof-of-Stake powered • Core integration: ~2–3 hours • Full sync: ~2–3 hours • Disk usage: ≤ 3 GB ✅ Secure ✅ Lightweight ✅ Exchange-ready ✅ Open source #DontLimitYourself #Crypto #Wallet

@binance, Thanks for including me in the top 100 blockchain people list, appreciate the signal! I must decline the Dubai invite though. I do not wish to disrespect, but many of the award voters are avid kaspians who rooted for my kaspa status at least as much as for my research. Let them win or count me out. Crypto has turned from a euphoric cypherpunk project to a house-friendly casino. You may not be the culprit, but as a top player you hold the lion’s share of the responsibility to correct this, and the October crash your USDe oracle glitch helped trigger adds to what needs to be addressed. There are three classes of crypto, as @mert put it recently: commercial crypto, casino crypto, cypherpunk crypto. <> A TBTF CEX should know better and play a different game with hardcore crypto projects. When binance lists a green frog three weeks post its “launch” but skips a fair-launched-Nakamoto-Consensus-100ms-upgrade-ATH-top-20-the-only-nonbitcoin-marathon-mined project, this is not merely binance rationally calculating; it is also binance molding the market in a way that is alas misaligned with the roots of the movement. You may feel that kaspa’s sovereign money thesis is boring – that bitcoin is already money and that implementing an internet-speed bitcoin is useless - fine. Wrong but fine. But what’s the thesis for the green frog? Money is a classic chicken-and-egg product. It is a scam up until one moment before tipping point, “most of the value comes from the value that others place in it.” Considering your resources and influence, I think it's safe to say you can serve as both the egg and the chicken and make it worth your while to push sound attempts towards tipping point. @cz_binance tweeted recently that “strong projects will be listed.” But binance is part of what defines "strong", it bears responsibility for the market’s compass and impulse and definition of strong. It is not a read-only entity. Binance listing fees are legit, they are just unfit for category cypherpunk. Kaspa devs and early supporters fairly mined less than half what satoshi and hals mined. We don’t have a 20% ZEC-style founders’ reward or protocol-enforced dev fund; this is not a jab at ZEC and the wonderful @Zooko, who was crashing in my car on a late Thursday back in the low ZEC MC days – if somebody deserves to win it is zooko – but assuming binance is not taking a maxi bet, it should revisit its relationship with hardcore crypto. We are here through bull and bear, ICOs NFTs XYZs; and we are the source of confidence that restores faith and capital inflow post meme-induced or CEX-induced crashes. Please fix this. Thanks again, hashdag cc @michaelsuttonil Exhibit A: Binance Innovation Zone Exhibit B: 10 bps Nakamoto Consensus

#Kaspa will never reach $0.20 again. This is why I have liquidated my position in $KAS. There is very little upside going forward. No forward moves of late have any traction whatsoever and demand continues to lag. Way too little upside for such a risky proposition so my advice is to move into dollars. Only a significant change in the economy could alter this forecast.
