Asking people to not buy gold will not work in India. People will panic and buy more gold. Less use of oil, limited WFH, not a bad idea. I want all schools to be forced to 5 days work week. Most companies to move to 5 days work week with services companies giving one or two days WFH. Import substitution by buying local - not easy. It will take a long term. But easier job, increase petrol, diesel price by 20% or 30% Everyone will curse you and the usage will come down.
