@S_M_Bowman The size of the array that they are proposing off Dunsborough has some worried. I don't really know. On the bike ride back to our unit it just got me thinking that it could be possible to place some in a less hostile environ. Living where I do I'm more than aware of mntce costs.

@AlSattler18888 @knightd73 11 days. Not sure that world politics will be sorted by then but I might be in a better frame of mind to deal with the unfolding disastastrophe...

@PiggottTash @pc602 Yep we took 18 T tiles of our 45 yr old farm house !! Put 800kg of tin and insulation back !!!! Recon it had a big sigh ahhhhhhhhhhh !!!!
English

@HoolyMcg @PiggottTash Holy sparks!! That's a hell of a lot of tiles!

@PiggottTash @pc602 Mate did his roof years ago. Said 30t of tiles came off. Veranda posts came out of the concrete 😂

@pc602 We tinned a coupla roofs about twenty years back - our farmhouse & Newmans (that was Anne & Alan Andrew’s house). Crazy how many tonnes of tiles are up there. Tin is much lighter & sounds better when it rains 😊😊

@pc602 Need them to hold your house down from the Espy doctor today PC

@pc602 That looks like somebody else’s problem my friend

@joey_jo00 Haha I'd need really good eyesight! We're about 400k away. The light show sounds like a great thing.

@knightd73 Hi Dean, I explained it to Huey just before, basically it's a failure in the coating of the original tiles which meant they eroded to bare terracotta and were deteriorating badly.
English

@pc602 Why do you need to retile the roof ? It certainly adds up with weight
Extended family in Finland often have foot plus of snow top of their roof how's it's constructed so doesn't collapse no idea,
English

@oster_huey It's a warranty claim. The original tiles have lost their coating and are deteriorating badly. (Taken since 2018 for the claim to be sorted, started by the previous owners) So it's like for like. It's a pretty hostile environ for whichever medium you use. Great view tho!

@pc602 Didn’t know tile roves were still getting built. Any reason for this over tin?
