"The Western Balkans Peace Forum is more than a conference. It is a platform for reflection, dialogue, and connecting local realities with regional and international processes. We created this forum because we believe that peace in the Western Balkans is directly connected to European security and the future of Europe" - Velma Šarić, President and Founder of the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) The first #wbpeace Forum is behind us. Constructive discussions, current topics, great panelists. Read what representatives of civil society organizations and the international community concluded during the Forum in the #BalkanDiskurs article at the link in bio. #WesternBalkans #RegionalCooperation #PeaceBuilding #Peace

Dobri razgovori, aktuelne teme, sjajni panelisti. Šta su to zaključili predstavnici organizacija civilnog društva i međunarodne zajednice pročitajte u #BalkanDiskurs članku na tinyurl.com/cbtdp84s #ZapadniBalkan #RegionalnaSaradnja #IzgradnjaMira #Mir

Marking the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, young psychologist and our youth correspondent Tara Michelle Gliha looks back at the Sarajevo protests started after the tragic death of Erdoan Morankić. Through her analysis, she explores the deeper roots of generational trauma, but also the sudden transition from civic passivity to collective rebellion. Tara asks the question of whether this wave of dissatisfaction represents a true awakening of young people in search of the responsibility of the system, or whether it is an expression that also carries the risk of radicalization. It also reminds us that the path to justice requires much more than a momentary wave of emotions. Read more at p-crc.org/2026/03/24/bla…

“If you ask anyone anywhere, in a democracy or not, whether malign foreign interference in their country’s information space is welcome, the answer is always no. Information integrity is a global public good.” – @kajakallas, High Representative of the @eu_eeas and Vice-President of the @EU_Commission. Our President and founder, @VelmaSaric, participated in Brussels at the annual 🇪🇺 conference on countering foreign information manipulation and interference, hosted by HR/VP Kaja Kallas. At the conference, the latest report on foreign information manipulation was presented, emphasizing the importance of the information space as a key domain in which state-backed actors attempt to manipulate public opinion, political choices, and even election outcomes. With upcoming elections in 🇧🇦, the report carries important warnings about increasingly sophisticated manipulation campaigns that use complex networks and various digital platforms to influence citizens’ perceptions and undermine trust in democratic processes. #EUzaBiH #PCRCBiH

It was a day of great optimism. Two years ago today, the European Council gave a green light for Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 to open accession negotiations with the EU 🇪🇺. Instead of a new start that would help turbocharge BiH’s significant unused potential, it now looks like yet another missed opportunity. The risks of inaction are no longer abstract: slower EU integration, missed reforms, lost chances for economic and political advancement, and falling behind neighbours. BiH’s political actors have demonstrated before – including in the run up to the European Council decision two years ago - that when there is political will, they can find consensus and solutions that benefit all. It is time to find that political will again. My new op-ed in full 👇 eeas.europa.eu/delegations/bo…
